you can remember the name of the protagonist one week after you see the movie. I usually find that I like movies as I'm watching them and as I'm leaving the theater however a good rule of thumb I always use to see if the movie is worth another visit or if I want to shell out 20 bucks when it comes out on dvd is to see if I can recall the name of the protagonist one week after I have watched the movie.

What system do you guys use to decide if the movie is worth another go?

I can remember Alex from Clockwork Orange and a certain "Darth Vader" guy from Lord of the Rings, but that's about it.

I don't think any movies are worth a second watch. Very few movies are worth watching to begin with.

I don't really like movies.

A movie is great if it effects you in someway.

If you get a positive feeling thinking back on it then it was good.

ha, thats what i thought of too. although i thought the movie was pretty good. nothing epic or groundbreaking, but entertaining.

anyway, its a bad system for judging movies.

A movie is truly great to me if and only if the ending isnt the ever so predictable 'good guy kills the bad guy'/'happily ever after'. those types of movies are just way too predictable.

If I think the movie is good, then it's good. Plain and simple.

Yeah, he doesn't have a name. I call him Jack, though, because of the "I am Jack's..." lines. Also, Fight Club = best movie ever.
