A question for people of European Descent

I'd like to be very clear that I harbor no prejudice or anything of that sort. I simply want to know what people of European Descent think of the predicted change in their population in the next 60 years. I recall reading from various sources that the population of White people (people of European Descent) will drop to the single digits in terms of percentage.

I'd care. Indians and Chinese are increasing, while Whites are decreasing. The Indian and Chinese/White ratio will become even larger since the numerator is increasing, but the denominator is decreasing.

What you said couldn't be farther from the truth. Chinese people, who are pure Asian, will not die out. They will become more numerous. In fact, they already number over 1 billion. Pure Blacks will number 2.5 billion in 60 years. They're will be no mass mixing, as there isn't any now.

Doesn't bother me. It's not like I'm walking down the street constantly thinking to myself.. "gee, I'm 27% of the world's population. Awesome."

I just hope all ethnicities stop having so many babies. That is one of the root causes of a lot of problems in the world... people having kids that they can't afford to take care of... or that they aren't ready to take care of.

It's not that people are more Black or Asian; it's that your people are becoming smaller. What if they become displaced or overtaken by immigrants from other countries?

I don't see why I would care. Skin color and facial structure are just physical traits like any other.

Obviously the article assumes that the current trend will continue without change. Doesn't really take into account war, regime changes, policy changes and general domestic improvements in many countries which are sourcing this migration. Doesn't really bother me that much though, i'm British and European and always will be. Percentage means nothing. If anything I'll become rare and potentially valuable by 2160 :P

Why do people keep saying that pure populations are dying or that everyone is mixing? This couldn't be farther from the truth. The last time I checked, aside from the United States, most countries are ethnically homogenous. For example, over 90% of China and Japan are inhabited by their respectice native ethnic groups. The same can be said for ever country in Subsaharan Africa, and the Middle East. This idea that everyone is mixing is a misconception; it just isn't true.
