[QUOTE="harashawn"] It has nothing to do with my religious beliefs, but no. Hungry_bunnyWhat he said. I'm not the kind of guy that wants to check the bible every time I answer a question. I don't believe in alien abductions simply because it sounds too ridiculous. That's exactly why I don't believe the things in the Bible. They sound too ridiculous.
[QUOTE="Moroes"]This question has very little things to do with religion.GabuEx
I have a feeling I know exactly what it has to do with religion, but I won't say anything to spoil it.

They sounds too ridiculous. ...just to make it clear... being a Christian doesn't mean that you fully believe in all the supernatural stories in the book, it doesn't mean that you can't believe in science and it doesn't mean that you have to believe in everything else that sounds "unreasonable".
Except the belief in mystical being that is responsible for the creation of everything...
why is this question directed toward Christiansferrari2001
Because Christians believe in "a big magic man in the sky" but typically don't believe in alien abductions. The purpose is to point out a perceived irony in the beliefs of Christians and maybe even hypocrisy.
No I do not believe them, but why is this question directed toward Christians, it just proves the point that people who are not christian criticize something they know absolutely nothing about. ferrari2001Wait?.. What? Every type of person can be found to talk about things which they do not understand. That's not really a valid point. Besides, the exact opposite claim could very easily be made. With evidence like Christians talking down hom0sexuals, call me crazy but i don't imagine those hetero Christians know much about what they are talking about.

They are too complete different things. Just because you like to go fishing on a boat doesn't mean you like swimming.[QUOTE="Theokhoth"][QUOTE="ferrari2001"] why is this question directed toward Christianswarbmxjohn

Called it.. /thread :P Or it could be questioning the Christian understanding that of all the other planets and systems, Earth is the only planet with life on it, according to the Bible. Such a question does not have to be an assault on Christianity.[QUOTE="warbmxjohn"][QUOTE="Theokhoth"]Called it.. /thread :P Or it could be questioning the Christian understanding that of all the other planets and systems, Earth is the only planet with life on it, according to the Bible. The Bible doesn't say Earth is the only planet with life on it. It simply doesn't talk about other planets.
And if that were the point of the topic, the question would have been "Do you believe aliens exist?".
I'm pretty sure that it states that this planet is God's only creation. The Bible doesn't say Earth is the only planet with life on it. It simply doesn't talk about other planets.

"In the Beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth."
The Bible talks more about Earth than the Heavens, but it most certainly doesn't say Earth was God's only creation. Hell, even if the Bible were made up on the spot, the people writing it knew something about space.

It's kind of hard to ignore all those specks of light at night, so yeah, I think you could say they knew "something" about space. :P

I've spent my entire life reading the Bible and, while I may not be able to quote specific verses for certain things, I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that no version of the Bible says that Earth is God's only creation. I quoted the first verse to show you that it says the exact opposite: That God did create things besides the Earth.
[QUOTE="greenprince"]Wait, is this some weird, foolish ploy to get us Christians look hypocritical and ironic because we believe in God but not in Aliens?harashawnIt would appear so. I knew it, but I read the previous posts in this thread and realized that Theokhoth already called it.
