I've just discovered this, browsing through the game's manual. The game is from 2008, mind you.
"... you can't scrape the cash together to buy a new one. It's Game Over, pal. Start a new game, buy a new ride using your Playstation Network Wallet, or enjoy your early retirement".
Talk about microtransactions and extorting money! Is this true, by the way? You have to pay real money to start a new game?
