Hello there, yes uhh, good evening all. Happy something or other...

Now there is a girl I am courting - Uh Excuse me! Yes! Those leaving already there are sandwiches being served afterwar...uh never mind..

She is working very hard lately and we haven't had time to hang out. I already asked her on Facebook chat if she was working next saturday. She said of course. I was going to bring her to a party.

Instead I would like to invite her to another event, in which a friend's band is playing somewhere. How do you think I should word it? Like I don't really want to ask "are you working on the 25th" - it might sound weird asking again. So how should I invite her to this in case she isn't working that evening, which is a Friday night.

Ah thank you kind sir. I just wasn't sure whether it would sound weird or not asking her again if she was busy. I am also worried she might say no again because she might be working.

I know you obvioulsy won't be able to say if she is or not but it is on a Friday night and the last week of the holidays before we go back to university.

I should give you a cookie for that response! What a man!

You should say something along the lines of.

"It would be great if you could make it" or "I look forward to hanging out with you".

Say it like you want her to go with you because you want to be around her. Wording it wrong might make her think that you just want someone to go with you, doesn't matter who.

Just talk about it and then ask her if she wants to come.

How about you go the distance and ask her face to face. They only bite half the time.

Because as I have said she is working really hard at the moment and there hasn't been time to organise anything or hang out.

Maybe she doesn't want to hang out and is using work as an excuse. You have to learn the hard way, just because you like someone, doesn't mean they like you.

I am in no way trying to discourage you, I'm just saying it's something you may have to think about before jumping the gun.

No because we already went to a movie last week and she said she liked it.

Don't ask. Just tell. If you ask, you leave open the possibility of rejection. Don't give her that opportunity! Rather than meekly asking: "Would you like to go out? Should I pick you up at 7?"; you say in a commanding tone: "We're going out. I'll pick you up at 7."

Facebook? No, dude. Get off the interweb, march yourself to wherever she lives, command her undivided attention, suck in your belly, jut out your chest, stand up straight, and in a loud macho voice proclaim "Me man! You woman! We date now!"

You're inviting her over Facebook? Don't. Ask her in person.

Well if you normally see her or hang out with her often, next time you're with her I'd just start a conversation about it and ask her if she wants to come. Depends how often you see her, though. If you don't see eachother often you could always text or phone her, just don't use the internet. Face to face is the best way.

ummm, no. dont make it sound like you WANT her company. It just gives her even more attention, and when women get what they want they start to get bored of you ;) I'd say something like "I'm going to watch a friend's band play on blah blah blah, you can tag along if interested."
