Facebook is a freeonline service. So where else could the money and power be coming from other than licensing, and companies running ads? It might wholly be licensing.

No, he didn't get paid for The Social Network, nor did he do any interviews for it or the book it was based on. And there is a movie about Google being made, although Zuckerberg is richer than them.Im sure they paid him in order to make "The Social Network" but that would have been a pitence compared to his other earnings.
Is he richer than the Google guys? Google has been running longer and they have ads as well, but no one made a movie abot them.

I don't think you get rich this much from ads within 5 years or so.GazaAli

According to Alexa.org traffic rankings, Facebook is only a Rank 2 in interwebs traffic. Google is still Rank 1. But regardless, I refuse to acknowledge a day where Facebook is richer than Google.

That's where the licensing comes in, I think. I don't think Facebook itself gets the money, the companies who make the Facebook games do. But they paya licensing fee to get their games hosted on Facebook. Game makers are paying Zuckerberg for the chance to make money on Facebook with their games.
