What's so great about it? I thought it was quite lame. I actually left in the middle of it.

It wasn't scary. I guess I can't really judge because I didn't watch the whole thing, but still. I also didn't like the little girl. She just bugged the hell out of me. Also, I lol'd at the chair stacking scene or whatever. I'm sure there were other scenes that were lame, but they weren't all that memorable. Overall, from what I've seen of it, it was a stupid movie. It may have been good in it's time, but today I just don't see it's appeal.

I have some respect for it for being a classic among others, though.

What do you guys think of it?

its just one of those movies that you would have watch when it came out to get the full effect imo, when i was a kid it was a pretty creepy film, but if you were to watch it now having been used to CGI and all that in scary movies, it looses it buzz.

I liked the part where the robot looking guy scratched off his face.

When it came out it was considered scary, its a cult classic now and enjoyed as such. It's a good film considering what they had to work with back then.

I didn't like it. I ended up fast-forwarding through most of it and I didn't think it was scary either.

I thought the characters were great - JoBeth Williams and Craig T. Nelson seemed like a real life husband and wife and had a ton of chemistry together. I liked the little girl too. But the movie just dragged on and on and on, and that Tangina woman was absolutely impossible to take seriously.
