I'm a member of the theater group at my school, and in the play we're about to put on, I'm supposed to play the Australian girl. Now, I've got the part pretty much down, but I need to make my Aussie accent sound authentic. Any ideas on how to get a good Australian accent, at least temporarily? Thanks!

I'd recommend going to youtube and watching some AFL (Australian Football) vids - a goldmine for Aussie cliches/enthusiastic pronunciations.

depends what type of Australian accent you want. (i'm Australian by the way)

if you want a really exaggerated one then watch steve irwin and crocodile dundee but not many people really actually talk like that. You could always try listening to hugh jackman he has a pretty nromalish accent but if its a girl try some Australian female actors but in interviews not when there in roles.
