Which singer do you prefer. I don't like Brian Johnson's singing (live) in Bon Scott songs, but that might just be due to familiarity. There both just good in there own ways. But if I had to pick I'd go with Bon Scott.

Also here's a little something I found on Youtube. An interesting performance of Baby Please Don't Go with Bon Scott:

I definitely prefer Bon because he actually sounds like he sang; Brian's screeching is really irritating. He can't sing Bon's songs well at all.

I can't say I really prefer either one, though, if I had to choose, I would choose Bon Scott. Personally, I think that a lot of AC/DC's best songs (Hells Bells, Back in Black, Thunderstruck, etc.) came out of the Brian Johnson era, but that Bon Scott was a better singer.

Bon was the limo driver they got to be vocalist... his voice was his voice, not a cheap imitation. I've never liked post-Bon AC/DC.

You know, looking back on my post, I'd still say Scott is the better singer, but I'd change my point about the songs from the Johnson era. I do think Hells Bells and Back in Black are AC/DC's two best songs, I love Thunderstruck, For Those About to Rock, and You Shook Me All Night Long, and I'd say that Back in Black is AC/DC's best album, but I'd also say a lot of my favorites (Whole Lotta Rosie, It's A Long Way To The Top (If You Want to Rock and Roll), Sin City, Dirty Deeds Done Dirty Cheap, Highway to Hell, T.N.T., etc.) came out of the Scott era. I'd also say all the albums that came out during the Scott era were better than the ones that came out during the Johnson era (excluding Back in Black); the Scott era also has the distinction of not producing a single bad (or even mediocre) album, which cannot be said about the Johnson era.

This. Even Ozzy's monotone, blaring vocals are better (and at one time they had real emotion behind them, back in Sabbath pre-80's).

I've never had a problem with Ozzy's vocals, personally (Black Sabbath is my favorite band). Sure, he's not the best singer out there, but his voice works fine for the music.
