If this lawsuit works I might have to talk to a lawyer. I got around 10000(rechecked my math) hours put into WoW in the past 5 years and have just recently quit. I could really use the money. Seriously though this is really stupid.
20000 hours over 5 years? That's almost 12 hours a day, every single day. :|kamikaze_pigmy
It's stuff like this that makes me feel better about my gaming habits.

Same goes for me.If this lawsuit works I might have to talk to a lawyer. I got around 15000 hours put into WoW in the past 5 years and have just recently quit. I could really use the money. Seriously though this is really stupid.testfactor888That's what... 625 full days, worth of WoW. Holy crap.

My main had 180 days played so 180 days x 24 hours. Than I had 3 other 80s plus like 6 60s and 70s mixed around on random servers. Looking back on it I regret it but I woulden't try to sue Blizzard for my own habits.
"A Hawaii man is suing the makers of Lineage II, a product he says is so dangerously addictive that he played it for 20,000 hours over five years, forgetting to get dressed, bathe or call mom during that span.":lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
How do you "forget" to get dressed? Wouldn't you a strange draft in hidden places? How do you forget to bathe? After the first week wouldn't the the smell be very obvious?
I bet he got no sex for those 5 years, or exercise.
Blaming a business for their own mistakes. How 21st century of him. I wonder how much I could sue Gamespot for all off my time they've taken.
Can I sue the alcohol industry to get my brain cells bask as well...rawsavonno, you actually enjoy your problems.

O.o........He better not win. I now know my gaming habits aren't bad.Zeldafan221

Yeah, whereas video games are serious business. *sigh* when I say something I'm talking on multiple levels at once. YOU chose to focus on the most insignificant point.
seems reasonable considering the nature of those who support capitalismEMOEVOLUTIONI don't understand. He choose to play that video game. It's not the fault of the company that made the video game as they were simply putting out a product for people like him to buy. He didn't have to invest that much time in the video game, but he did. How is it reasonable to sue by the logic of capitalism? You have not proven that point.

You have not proven that point. the concept of choice is an interesting thing to examine, but something we won't do here because there is no conclusion to be reached. and as far as proving a point about what I was saying, it's not necessary. I'm not interested in convincing you of anything other than that I'm not interested in convincing you of anything. :)
The stupidity of some people really amazes me, then again I shouldn't expect anything less from a person that plays games for 20,000 hours in 5 years. Saying a game is "addictive" is equal to saying "it's really fun". You don't smoke or inject games into your blood stream, it doesn't have any direct chemical effect on your brain, you simply enjoy playing the game, so you play it more. The producers of this game are in no way responsible for this guys obvious lack in self control.PernicioEnigmaanything that stimulates the senses can lead to forms of addiction or repetitive behavior.
