adult swim becoming its own channel?

if it were to beocome its own channel they cud well bring back all the anime that CN decided to cancel. and htey cud run them during the day. i say during the day only because if kids were to turn on the channel then they wudnt be wawtching something that they cant watch. and then we wud hav another generatoin of anime lovers. and then at nite show wut they normally show. and on saturday nites bring back there old anime shows like lupin the 3rd. wuts ur veiw on all this. i think it wud work. and they wud definelty make more money then if they stayed with CN

If they could get some better shows like D gray man and bring back some of their older shows I would watch it for sure

I would watch it as long as they brought on the GOOD shows.

They have some terrible shows on there mixed in with the genuinely awesome ones like Family Guy and Robot Chicken...

IMOAdult swim is one of the worst and stupidest things I'v ever watched. I only watchthe anime.

i would love this. i remember 4 years back or so they would show like one episode of Futurama and one episode of Family Guy then like two hours of anime. with their own channel they could bring back the good shows on a daily basis. think about it, in one day they could show an hour of King of the Hill, an hour of Family guy, an hour of Robot Chicken, an hour of Aqua Teen, an hour of Metalocalypse, and then have the rest of the day to show Moral Orel, Home Movies, Inuyasha, Full Metal Alchemist, Bleach, Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell, and others! Its all about rating and the masses like family guy 8 hours is a bit of an exaggeration. But I can see a solid 2-4 hours of family guy a day. Toonami died because of ratings I highly doubt they would make moves to bring ratings down instead of up. Even though they have good shows in the closet they won't bring it out because its all comes down to business.

actually technically they already are there own channel because cartoon network has no say in what they choose to play. However I suppose you mean they would actually move to a different channel and play throughout the entire day.

As much as I like [as], I don't think there's enough programming to sustain an entire network. If anything, I think they should take over earlier on the weekends and show more anime. I'm not a huge fan of anime, and I've never really watched it before, but I'd like to see more.

Yea I don't think A.S. has enough going on to be 24-hour. They're best off in small doses like they are now.

They used to have a lot more, better shows. With a full 24-hour day of Adult Swim, they could manage to do a lot of stuff.

More anime, more Space Ghost, more Aqua Teen, more Tim and Eric.

If they were more consistent with anime instead of just throwing them into Saturday and playing Family Guy and King of the Hill during the week than yeah it might work.

I hate current Adult Swim. So much stupid shows. I remember back in the early-mid 2000s. The way the scheduling was a lot better. Anime was during the week and the comedy shows were on Sunday. They also had animated movies on Saturday. Now it just sucks. Just King of the hill, Family Guy, and other shows that were just taken straight from Fox.

Most of the Adult Swin original a pure trash why some of the shows are great, but they canceled a lot of their best shows or the creators discontinued it. Other than that they have a lot of the classics from the Fox Network.

Sure, why not make it it's own network. This way it would air 24 hours a day which would make it more convienient since I like to go tosleep early and get up early when I can. AND cartoon network could air more of their stuff. The anime belongs on another network. Cartoon network was great because it had the what-a-cartoon pilot series and all of it's cartoon cartoons as well as crazy originals. But CN degraded over time. CN sucks now.

I can see space ghost being anightly talk show like leno etc..Aqua Teen is good in small doses Tim and Eric sucks. Also Anime does not do good in ratings.

Some of them are awful and some of them were great, Most of the orignal stuff has not aired for years. It also seems that sometimes they make theepisodes just to make episodes.

I think Aqua Teens & Squid Billies are alright. Early is hilarious. The Hunger Forceisn't funny anymore. The old Aqua teen shows were much better than the past few years as well as the current.

Death Clock is Absolutely idiotic. Robotic Chicken might have one funny sketch per episode. The rest is old Fox shows and the new futurama is going to Comedy Central but the premier stank so the rest of it will probably be just as lame.

Won't happen. Cartoon Network, during the day, is for who? The kids. Who aren't up at night? The kids. What does Cartoon Network want? Viewers so they can sell ads. If the kids aren't up at night, they can't very well run Chowder at 2am and expect an audience to sell ads to.

I like AS and I now hate CN, but Im not sure AS becoming its own channel will work unless they show lots of anime then HELL YES it would work.

I think anime (mature anime that is) will give it a bost and support from people. Im not saying they should pack it with anime but if they show anime (like they used to) it will be successful. Mature anime like Afro Samurai, Sammurai Champloo (it used to be on AS), ect

Good idea in theroy, but it would fall flat. Take the Nicktoons channel for example. Started off awesome by showing all of the shows Nickolodeon had on in the 90s. Sweet deal right? But then, they must have been getting crappy ratings so, they started making shows that were exclusive only to the channel. Not only were these shows horrible quality, but they began to push all of the orginal Nicktoons shows out of their timeslots bit by bit. Now the channel is unwatchable. If AS can avoid the trap that they, and G4 for that matter fell into, I say go for it. A way for it to work would be to merge it with Toonami of old Cartoon Network.

Well, CN has been steadily going down the crapper for a while now. I say Go AS! If only just for Metalocalypse, the most brutal show ever.

Why? So they can play even more reruns over and over again?
