But to answer your question, I always see the "preppy" kid's wearing it but I could wear it if I wanted to and Im certainly not "preppy"... So no, I dont think theyre preppy clothes. Just ugly IMO.

Terms evolve all the time, especially slang. Take for instance the fact that most people nowadays probably wouldn't call you an arse. It's best not to get stuck in just one cultural decade for referrence.

How was it a contradiction? If I had to wear them, then I would but I still think theyre ugly regardless of who's wearing them.AF and Hollister aren't even close to prep......... Prep clothing is Ralph Lauren, Lacoste, Juicy couture thats usually worn by kids in the east coast with long rich family history and attend prep school.
