after so many years, apple changed the itunes icon

i thought they would never get the courage to do it, but they finally did. it went from this:

to this:

any thoughts? is it better or worse?

Better, but neither is great. The foobar2000 space-cat thing is clearly superior to both.

I liked the rainbow colours incorporated in the former :(

Same here. It's a small improvement, but it's still rather bland.

i personally liked the old one. the CD may be getting obsolete, but it stuck out more from the other icons on my PC than the new one. especially considering that there are a lot of icons that are round circles. to me the new one looks like an icon for a game

About the same, but im so used to the old icon so i'll pick no.

Luckily I set up my Foobar 2K to sync with my ipod and scrobble with last.fm, so I don't even need to see or use the iTunes icon anyways 8)

They would have had to at some point, the CD makes it look dated. This is one of the reasons why I think it is better.

Even though I'm used to the old one, I like the new one more. CDs should have died a long time ago. Their last stand was in the iTunes logo, but even that's over now.

I don't like the new icon. It looks like a logo you'd find somewhere on a Jonas Brothers CD cover.

Why should CD's have become obsolete? They are so much better than just a few files on a computer. I know tis the same music but a CD is just so much better.
