I predict that this will be one of the most interesting topics we've ever had...

that's a pretty damn good predictions...or I kinda sense some sarcasm on that sentence lol
Your capability for detecting inferences within my posts is extraordinary.
Haha, me too im scared of heights...One time the airplane was shaking and kept dropping all of a sudden and the lady beside me was holding a small saint statue and was praying..kinda scary.I too have been on planes countless times and never once have I enjoyed it. They terrify me and I'm ill the whole time. I go back and forth between praying that I fall asleep and praying that we don't fall out of the sky.

(where you're much more likely to die).

LOL Yea I can laugh at that now cuz I'm not on a plane! I'm sure that was so comforting to you. Ugh even thinking about the way your stomach drops when the plane does... yuck. But I must admit that I bring a rosary on all my plane trips. You can't drag me into a church normally but I go through quite the religious experience on a plane! I'm quiet about it though, no obvious saint statues or any out loud praying. Talking shakes the plane, ya know!
I think it's pretty much the same no matter what.I personally don't life flying over water. I don't know what it is. I'm guess I just like to the security of knowing I'll die instantly over land.

Nope, never. Road trips are superior methods of traveling.

Agreed, it's just that small wrinkle of running out of road that necessitates air travel, that or a time crunch.
What I hate is you always have to turn off your electronics or put your phone in "Airplane" mode. They don't make you do that in Europe!! There has been only ONE confirmed case of a small electronic device affecting the instrumentation of a plane causing it to crash. In all the countless airplane flight only ONE.
*In Seinfeld voice* Whaaat, is the deal?
[QUOTE="Pirate700"]I think it's pretty much the same no matter what.It depends on the landing. A lot of times if the landing is controlled most of the way down, you just drown in an ocean landing.I personally don't life flying over water. I don't know what it is. I'm guess I just like to the security of knowing I'll die instantly over land.

Yeah... listening to the silent hum of the Prius motor, going past the wind-turbine covered hills, while sipping from your wheat-germ smoothie... nothing like it, is there? :PNo. Nothing is better than a long road trip. They are one of lifes true pleasures.

:O Blasphemy! No. Nothing is better than a long road trip. They are one of lifes true pleasures. Meh. I'd say you should experience flying a plane on a cross-country trip... but it's really pretty boring. The plane I usually fly doesn't even have auto-pilot (keeps altitude and heading) and I've still nearly fallen asleep. I can't imagine what would happen if I *did* have auto-pilot.... You'd probably see it in the news: " Canadian fighter jets intercept small plane crossing the border, pilot snoring at the controls." :P[QUOTE="6_volts"][QUOTE="Bloodaxe726"]

Unless the nose of the plane hits the water at a perfect velocity and angle, also taking into account the wind direction and speed and the waves are spot on including many other factors you will live, if this 0.00000000000000000001% occurance does not happen I'm sure you will plummit to your peril :)
