Almost impossible confessions/decisions

Have you ever got caught up in an event where you have to make one of the biggest choices ever? Or when you want to confess but you just can't? Like when you find a girl/boy that you really like and you want to askthem out, but you can't because you're afraid you'd be rejected, and if you don't speak out it would be too late and you'd end up regretting it? Or if you want to take up on a side of someone who is against one another? This is just an example, but I just need to know. Have you ever got caught in a decision you REALLY don't want to make?

Off the top of my head can't really think of anytime I had a hard time deciding.

Also what does hard decisions have to do what confessing? I was looking in this thread for some juicy gossip.:x

I've made a lot of hard decisions in my life but I guess the one that usually comes to mind first is leaving my hometown and all of my friends to be with my wife. It worked out for the best though.

Anyhow I brought this topic up due to prom night approaching. A few of my friends are going, but I'm having a hard time trying to ask my friend out. What's awesome about her is that these kinds of girls are hard to come around where I come from. :/ She LOVES playing games competitively, and she's pretty damn awesome. She's an extremely big otaku. Now that's my kind of girl. xD I'm a geek.

Not after what happened years back when I was a kid. I opened a damn pepsi can wrong and part of my finger nail came off. Yeah, blood n' stuff. And girly shrieking. :/

I got an interesting sort of deal here.

Basically, back in middle school I "went out" with this girl. She had asked me out.

Turns out I am an ass though. I had said "yes" at the time as she was a good friend and I didn't want to hurt her feelings. I didn't at the time have those kind of feelings for her.

I ended up losing touch with her even though she gave me her number thanks to my stupid anxiety issues which have cost me some friendships as I never was the one to call people even though they gave me their number.

I have been in contact with her on facebook and this last Valentines Day I realized that she was single again (she had had a boyfriend for a while) and then I thought about how she had treated me way back in the day and it is like damn, what the hell was wrong with me?

I had a pretty girl who was way into me and who was sitting there making moves and trying to pull me out of my shell and I just tossed it away.

I have wanted to at the least apologize to her but I don't see myself ever getting that chance. I am pretty sure she has alot of anger towards me for how I treated her...

We were talking back and forth on facebook and I mentioned that we should go check out Shutter Island (We had gotten into a discussion that had landed on us both not havng seen the movie but wanting to see it) and catch up. I even ended up suggesting a specific weekend and she never responded.

Later on I swear a couple of my comments on some statuses of hers just disappeared. I saw them pop up in my news feed but my comments were suddenly gone. Since then I just stopped trying to talk to her and she stopped trying to talk to me. Have no idea what the hell happened there,,,

I don't even think she wants a friendship anymore to be honest.

Personally, my theory is she is not only angry about the past but she just wants what she can't have.

She has posted alot of status updates incinuating she was chasing after guys who didn't want anything to do with her. I then find it amusing that she would occassionally like a status of mine or something when I hadn't talked to her, but then when I comment on her statuses she just flat out stops talking. It just makes me want to ask "seriously why would you communicate with me if you don't want to talk to me?" And no I don't feel I ever incinuated I wanted to date her or something, just catch up and have a talk as friends.

IDK, either way it mainly bugs me that I won't get to apologize. It is extra weight on my shoulders not being able to get out an "i'm sorry for being an ass."

I am not too concerned about it. It's just one of those things that if I think about it it irks me.

It is the biggest example of how I totally held back my life when I was younger by closing myself off in a little shell and never making an effort to be friends with anyone. I mean had I even kept in touch with her over the years things COULD be dfferent. I really wouldn't blame her if she told me off and stopped talking to me. I neglected our friendship for a good 10 years or so...
