I posted here a week or so ago about anxiety, and I strongly think it is comming from my work, Iam just curious if every time before I work, I get such a strong sense of anxiety in the stomach and dread having to do everything again does that mean its time to quit and look for a new job?, I dont have bills to pay etc and Until I find a job I will be earning a low 160 a fortnight, which is more than enough for 10 dollars of petrol a week and 60 dollars for insurance a month.

But I am in between is this usually a sign of being sick of work? and no I dont work in any professional place, I work at Mcdonalds and have so for 3 years.

Depends on how much you hate your job. If you're just sick of it, then no. Most people get sick of their jobs occasionally. No big deal.

However, if you absolutely LOATHE you job and ever second you're there is a soul-cruching moment that makes you want to murder yourself, then maybe it's time to leave. Though...the smart thing to do is to find another job BEFORE leaving. I don't recommend just quitting and then planning on getting another job in a couple of weeks. Find a job, THEN quit.

I guess if you think its coming from work then you should probably look for a new job. Since its just a job at McDonalds it couldnt be too hard to find another job.

Well I want some type of retail job through uni, but something that interests me and would allow me to talk to customers knowing what I was saying, Like a Auto part shop, the movies or a Game store.

LOL you said fortnight

On a more serious note, look for another job and when you get an opportunity, take it. If you aren't sure that you're sick of it now, you sure as hell will be in a few more months.

Ok Iam having a hard time choosing, can people please post their opinions after this post, and I will see which way the poll sways and that is what I will decide because Iam so 50-50 at the moment.

Just to confirm

I work at Mcdonalds as a kitchenhand, I get massive anxiety before I have to go, and Ive done fast food since january 2007.

I've worked as a nightfill assistant for 2 months and thought it was the worst job of my life worse than fast food.

If I quit id get Government payments of 160 a fortnight ( I waste about 100 a month)

Id have 4 weeks off and hope that I get one of the advertised local jobs in a Auto parts shop.

You only made 160 every 2 weeks? Do you only work 6 hours a week?

I was always taught to find another job before quitting one...maybe with a week or two between them for a vacation. You really should try to pinpoint why exactly you have anxiety...and if its the job why does it make you anxious? You have been there for awhile so you are experienced and are familiar with the duties.

In the U.S. if you quit a job you are not eligible for government assistance.

I'd try to hang in there and find something else first unless it is really bad.

If I were you, I'd quit. I had something similar happen to me in my last job and one day management put a lot of pressure on my trying to illegally force me into accepting to do overtime. I told them I will not be doing a minute of overtime, they threatened me, and I just quit. I still haven't found a job, but I'm confident I'll find one soon enough.
