Eh I used to. My opinion on it now is: If you want to spend some crazy amount (not everything is ridiculously priced but many things there are) on a poorly made article of clothing that's you're choice, I'll be busy spending my hard earned green on something thats going last me well into next year.

I prefer American Eagle because it's not surf-related apparel. But, no, I don't hate Hollister. I know some kids who wear it act like asses and brats, but you should not generalize an entire company based on those people. I enjoy looking nicely dressed, so I go to AE. Yeah, I spend a little more money, but I like how it feels and how I look from wearing their clothing.

Edit: I swear there are some Gamespot gnomes that steal words and spaces from the time that I type to the time that it gets posted.

i have two t-shirts two knit shirts and a sweater, because I had a gift card 2 years, and the t-shirts are the most comfortable piece of clothing that own besides my gap sherpa hoodie, if they were not so expensive i would go back there, but i don't like paying more than $20 for a t-shirt with a bird on it

No, I hate Hollister, Abercrombie, GAP, American Eagle, or just about any other store that sells ridiculously expensive clothing that looks like crap. I'm not paying 80 bucks for a crappy pair of jeans that is literally made to look faded and torn, then again, I don't like jeans anyway. If I'm going to buy a pair of pants worth $2.50 in materials made from some kid in a sweatshop in a Chinese province, I'd rather not pay more than 15 bucks, because even that's pushing it.

There was a time when "preps" were the majority but this new round of young teens made emo and the like the new norm.

I remember back in my day you were either a prep, a punk, a goth, or a nerd. Preps were the majority and had all the parties. Punks, goths, and nerds usually hung out at the local arcade and played DDR or went to shows or stayed home, got high, and played video games.

You kids though, you killed what it is was to be part of the "underground" which is why I now proudly have an entire wardrobe from Express and Calvin Klein.

I rarely look at labels on people clothes, I judge people by their attitude/personality , rather than what they wear.

I'm not a fan of Hollister, nor am I a fan of any similar stores. However, I'm not going to rant about it and dislike people who wear clothing from said stores. Half of my friends' wardrobes consist of mostly clothes from Hollister, but I don't hold it against them because I like who they are.

Nope. Here in Vegas, Preps are still the dominating group, but with more skaters/punks, it's getting a bit better.

It's just a clothing store. I don't see what the big deal is. I personally think they are pricery, but, it's the consumers choice, they can do what they wish.

I'm not a fan of any brand. I do hate the state of people thinking that they need a certain brand of clothing to have friends, but I don't hate any particular brands though.

Quite honestly, I hate any brand that likes to have their name in huge letters drawn on their apparel. Cuz then kids may make a certian brand to be a cool new fad to dress as so and this causes people to seclude their own opinions about clothes and just buy the crap cuz it has "Hollister" on it or something. I also have a problem with American Eagle, and Abercrombie & Fitch.

They just scream "Look at me! I'm a advertisement drone!"

All of my shirts have subtle designs that don't draw complete attention to it. Either that or I try to mix and match different designs such as plad or stripes with whatever I'm wearing and play around with colors.

They're cheapter than Fitch. Running at a whopping 80 dollars for a pair of jeans with a single hole in them. :)

I've got five or six of Fitch's solid colored polos for work. I had a gift card there, and bought them. The shirts that have the big wide lettering, "Abercrombie & Fitch" are completely ridiculous.

No offense but I've really moved away from that part of my life. I felt that what I was doing as ****ifying myself as a goth kid was drawing negative attention to myself and standing out in a bad way. If I'm going to stand out I want to do it through my voice or my writing or my grades and I want to look successful. I've kept the long hair and the perma-stubble but my attitude and clothes have completely changed.

It's just not worth it, living in a world where cliques dominate who you are when you're young. If you're going to hate/discriminate/generalize someone based on the clothes they wear then that's just something you'll have to grow out of hopefully.

I understand high school has a social hierarchy but me and my friends we just as popular as anyone else and we were the weird ones back then.

Hollister is like all of the other prep clothes stores (Abercombie/American Eagle/Etc.). You just have to live with it. No big deal.
