So I make Call of Duty commentaries and I just dont see my channel or any of the other small channels going anywhere despite the quality of their content. It would seem that those who rose to fame two years ago will be the only big time commentators in the youtube gaming community. So my question is "Am I wasting my time?", I feel as though getting a 2nd job would be far more benificial in the long run rather than sitting around making commentaries in my spare time. I dont mean to spam, but please check out my channel and see if I'm even entertaining. pretty much, i assure you their are hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of people making Call of duty videos and the ones who make the big bucks kind of have a monolopy on the call of duty market. sorry man, you hit the party late and honestly i make videos on youtube but i do it for me because i enjoy doing it, all you people who do those game commentaries who think you can get big and make money off of it need to stop dreaming because the chances of that happening are super super super slim.
edit: maybe you should try something semi-original. You realize how many of those damn videos there are out there. There's a very small chance your channel will get popular.

Making money? Good luck! For fun? No is perfect time killer, at worse you learn to speak better with a mic.
Probably need some help from others to get exposure and some moolah for ads, but yeah is pretty rough starting now. Heck your better off with a dog video or rwj copycat channel.
That commentary was horribly non-entertaining. Here's a tip. Whining and complaining isn't what people want to hear. Your voice isn't great to listen to to begin with.thegerg

Let's Play's are mostly boring unless you are original and funny. I watched part of your video and really it's just you whining and talking in monotone the whole time. Not something people want to watch. Also, pick a better game than MW3. At least have some standards.

When I was in school and working 2-3 jobs I spent my spare time getting laid or out with friends, not complaining online. You're complaining about me complaining.
The problem is Youtube is already plagued with a lot of COD commentary videos and most of them are kind of the same thing. Try to think of something original or play games that people normally wouldn't see commentaries on.
