Yup... I paid for mine like a week or so ago and they let me sign up and get my money back... well... 96% of it back since I already kinda used it. Depends on how long ago you paid them for it/used it as well.

It applies to anything sold from Amazon itself. Meaning it doesn't count outside vendors.

It's automatic. It will cancel the current one that you have, and just start a whole new year.

My one month free trial was about to expire, thanks.

This won't auto upgrade on me will it (like my 1 month free trial would have), there is no option to select anymore on to auto upgrade or not.

I had that same issue a year or so ago... used their trial and it expired... they charged me for it. All I had to do was cancel to get the money back, so you should be fine. I'm guessing it will just end the Prime service since there's no renew/cancel button on my page.
