No doubt, but that still doesn't deter from its charm, for me at least.that movie is really well made but is a romanticbrain washer , the film teach that are relationships are a happy ending some goal that bring eternal happiness
i think thats BS

i've considered watching it but it looks kinda.. gay i know it gets wicked good reviews and i plan to eventually, i just really don't know what to expect.wired4stuffI wouldn't use the word gay to describe something in a bad way on this forum. Many could take offense at that. I suggest editing your post if you don't want to get modded. On topic: I also very much enjoyed it.
If someone can can come up with an insightful and intelligent way to describe how the film is "pretentious" and gay I'd love to hear it.
Anyway, its a delightful film.
I'm just going to lay this on you all; every time I watch the film or a clip or even a glimpse of a clip, I cry. Cry as if the woman I loved left me or the woman I loved never felt the same way about me.
It's so beautiful :'(
I've been waiting for a copy of that at the library. I put it on hold a month or so ago and I'm still 3 positions behind :xI love the movie, but The City of Lost Children is still my favorite by Jeunet.

Without being too cliche, the only thing I can compare it to is a dark fairytale. Plus, I'll see anything with Ron Perlman in it at least once. The guy seems to speak every language.[QUOTE="MarioRPGer"]Love your sig and avatar Mario! When i first saw it and saw Ron Perlman in it, i was so confused :P Great film though since it is hard to not appreciate Jeanet's quirky style.I've been waiting for a copy of that at the library.
