Maybe one day they'll drift out of sight but the country is still riddled with a vast array of accents and colloquialisms. You'll find immigration introduces foreign colloquialisms and slang words into language. Sri Lanken immigration for e.g. has seen words such as skets and nang creap in the vocab of our countries little uns. Tis not a bad thing - I like the idea of a mashed up language anyway...
