The jist of the article is that there is an American Pie 4 being developed with the original characters, none of this crap with distant relatives and all that. Its going to be set at a High School Reunion and thats about all thats known. Harold and Kumar 3 which was a maybe seeing as Kal Penn took that job at the White House is back on except with a different director because the original directors of the Harold and Kumar movies are now doing the 3rd American Pie. Kal Penn is apparently going to leave his job at the White House to do th film. For me this is good news because I liked the original 2 American Pies, the third was meh. I loved the two Harold and Kumars and I am so glad that they are going to make the third in the end.
I hate all the American pie spin-offs just a bunch of stupid films who thinks raunchiness is comedy. Hopefully 4 will have the original crew and the writers will at least put some effort in the storyline.
American Pie? Hecks yes. I loved all three of the original films (and Band Camp). Harold & Kumar? OH GOD NO! After the travesty that was Escape from Guantanamo Bay, I have extreme doubts about a third one.

Couldn't agree more.. the first 3 were so good.. then after it was like "were crazy, look how much fun we have! omg were funny too" Just so common.. and predictable It was so bad :x argh!
I liked American Pie when I was a kid. I watched the first one again years later, and it was the biggest "What the heck was I thinking?!" moment in my life. It was just awful. Won't be seeing the fourth, needless to say.
American Pie is ****. I can't believe they're actually making another one. Has anyone watched, much less enjoyed, any of the movies after American Pie 2?
As for H&K, I liked the second one well enough so I'll probably watch the third one.

yeah seriously. Every movie was the same 3 jokes over and over again
However Harold and Kumar is hilarious so thats good to hear. Though Im not sure if Im going to see it if Neil Patrick Harris isnt brought back
