Ive gotta say Kanye West and Foo Fighters live were awesome, but Amy Winehouse...what is this girls problem. She does not have a good voice and everything about her (including that video with the crack pipe and the fact shes already been to rehab) screams CRACK FEEN! Seriously when she performed for the Grammys when she was trying to dance she looked like she was about to fall over. The thing Im really wondering is how she won all these categories like best album of the year, Ive never heard a single person say they like her. Im glad her visa got denied so she couldnt come over to the USA for the Grammys I want the UK to keep this one.

I completely agree with everything you just said. And I realize by making this board Im giving her attention but I just cant ignore her I wish we could just drop her and the whole Spears family off on an island somewhere.
First of all, her visa wasn't rejected, they changed their mind after but it was to late for Winehouse to go. Secondly, her performance was probably the best she has done so far compared to her other live performances, she looked enthused and looked like she was putting effort in the performance.

The whole idea that Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals didn't win "Best Pop Instumental Performance" for Paris Sunrise #7 is a crime against humanity. And the Foo Fighters winning "Best Hard Rock Performance"? Over Queens of the Stone Age? Really?

Surprised the hell out of me. I think they were trying to either make a statement or trying to bring Modern jazz back into the forefront by giving it to him, not as if he didnt' deserve it to begin with, I mean.
On another note, the live shows, all but Winehouse's preformance, were pretty on point in my opinion.

She's huge in the UK and growing bigger here. I love her voice, sounds like a throwback to a lot of old singers in motown etc...
She herself is messed up and ruining her career with drugs etc...
But yeah she has an amazing voice, that concert was her just adding to the vocals and singing them differently live which is not how the songs sound on the album, I think her improvisation live is terrible but on the album she's amazing. She just needs to stop adding crap when live which ALOT of artists do cause they get bored of singing the same song again and again

Yeah, but dude do you realize how many people do serious drugs in music let alone sports and film and tv. You'd pretty much have to stop supporting like 35% of the big actors, writers, directors, singers, atheletes etc....

C'mon do you really think they would have a metal band perform at such a mainstream event? But yeah, Slayer won best performance for the song "Final Six" which is alright I guess. Howvever I think that its a crime that Megadeth didn't even get nominated after putting out such an amazing album in United Abominations.

I honestly don't know the appeal of her. She's hardly attractive, can't sing (live, in studio, or otherwise), isn't unique as her voice is comparable to certain West Side Story numbers, and has the personality of a fermented turd. Her family are so bloody inconsistent too; one minute it's "don't buy my daughters music until she's gone to rehab" then they're over the moon when she wins an award for a song about refusing to go to rehab. Madness.
