Well we all have a different name for each of our mother's how do you usually call yours??

I usually call her Mom, when I was a kid I used to call her by her own name because it was easier for me to find her if I ever got lost.

Mom. People in the UK say "Mum". Not really sure how 'mother' turned into 'mum'.

"Lan", it's a shortening of her name I picked up from when one of my cousins were little and couldn't pronounce it right. I started calling her that after she stopped whipping her head around every time I yelled "MOM", because usually I just pulled a "stewie" and was annoying about it.

I way Ma. or Amá (Pronounced ah[Like when a doctor examines your throught and you have to say "ah!", but with your toungue inside of your mouth] mah). Amá. Ever since I was a kid, and to this day i still say it like that. And I'm 20. The pronunciation is different because we are Mexicans.

In the most informal occasions,, mom. Otherwise I always use mother. Everything else has always sounded too... "kiddy" to me, even when I first started forming decent enough sentences.

I call my parents by their names. Reason being, my dad had me do it as a kid because he believed it would have us be closer :S
