"I AM YOUR FATHER"
Classic.
The movie isn't the greatest, but at least the fans are passionate :P
No.[QUOTE="LZ71"][QUOTE="XilePrincess"]I have actually never watched starwars in full. Is it actually as awesome and fandom-worthy as people make it out to be? Paco8byu
Actually yes is the correct answer.
LZ got it right.I have actually never watched starwars in full. Is it actually as awesome and fandom-worthy as people make it out to be? Most of what I know about star wars came from the KFC and pepsi promos in the 90s and from the 3 year old explaining star wars video. XilePrincessPrequels are debatale in quaity, mostly its just failed to captialize on potential. the cla S S ICS are generally hailed as classics all around, 4 and 5 are really the best two in the series.
that's like being passionate about tartar control. =PHaha.

Good luck getting people to forget about Star Wars. There's a whole generation that likes the prequels, so get used to it.
I like episodes 4-6, but I really don't see how the fandom has existed for four decades now. The original films are really good, but I think it's nuts people have been dwelling on the series for so damn long. I guess it's because of the lore or something....because there are plenty of great films out there that don't have any fandom past half a decade. Q_Q. LethalhazardWell, it may have to do with the fact that the prequels are only a few years old, and that renewed interest in the series? Also there was the original trilogy re-release in 97. But the most obvious answer is that Star Wars is not just any other series, they were the biggest series ever back in the 70s and 80s. Nothing rivaled it in popularity, and it was a worldwide phenomenon. Think Harry Potter of Lord of the Rings, but even more so. And back when there was little to no competition.
agreed. Empire Strikes Back is going to be awesome in 3-D.Can we skip this prequel 3d nonsense and get the original trilogy 3d in theatres instead? kthnxbai :P

When I went to see the first public showing of Revenge of the Sith at the Odeon in Leicester Square in London (which is where they have the UK red-carpet premieres and so has an appropriately huge screen with accompanying full-size stage in front of it) a fully costumed Obi-Wan and Darth Maul got up on stage before the trailers and just went for it, they'd clearly choreographed the whole thing and even the security took a moment to enjoy the spectacle before booting them out.Gotta love fanboys. My first SW midnight showing. Are they all this awesome?

This.
George Lucas is the worlds savviest nerd, when he signed on for the original trilogy he made sure to have the lions share of the merchandising rights and profits thereof, which pretty much ensured he has a bottomless pit of money until the day he dies. Then he just needed to wait for tech to get better, much as Cameron did with Avatar. Funnily or perhaps ironically enough though, both of them ended up having to get involved with that side of things and pay for/create much of the tech-revolution they had sat on their laurels waiting for.Space Jew? I know Star Wars is responsible for more than a few of histories least racially sensitive characters but I was always struck by how theyd managed to avoid doing a Jew, now I feel ashamed and ultimately curiousAnd then came Jar Jar and the space Jew.
I fuking love them both, because it's Star Wars.

Aaaaaaahhh yeah thats not a bad point. He does have that middle eastern/Iranian-ish accent though that's true. But that's close enough to Israel no?
