Anime acceptance

I was just curious, do the majority of you guys in GD here, do you not like anime? I mean, on the other forum I'm on, everyone seems to hate on it, you can only safely talk about it without getting flamed the heck out of in private factions (unions here I guess)... so, do you guys like anime a lot? I used to be a total weeaboo, like obsessed with Japanese culture, but the funny thing was I didn't watch much anime to begin with... well I outgrew that phase, but now I'm watching more anime than ever... yeah I know hard to grasp...

So, what aboutchu guys. Also, is there any anime girl/guy you'd hit, and who would it be :3 oh and is the cat face smiley acceptable here as well? :3 hehe...

I love anime. If some people like to dismiss it as garbage without even watching based on stuff like Naruto and DBZ, it's their loss.

As for your other question, I asolutely LOVE Chii (Chobits), she's the most adorable thing ever. :P

honestly i dont know i just got into it myself, i jumped in around the 13th episode and have been looking for the episodes online

i think youtube has the episodes though

My friend has played Bible Black, I didn't as I'm not a fan of futanari.

Oh, that's right, manga and graphic novels have surpassed quality literature, for it is easier to "view", with less words and more pictures. Sorry, I forgot modern children would prefer to view comics than immerse themselves in quality text...tacotweaker

No one is saying manga is better than classical lit you dummy. I myself enjoy classical lit. Currenntly I'm reading On The Road The Original Scrolls by Kerouac and the Border Trilogy by McCarthy. And at the same time, I enjoyed reading One Piece. You're very naiive to think that all us fans of manga/comic books or whatever only appreciate those froms of liteature. Grow up.

Some anime is good, some isn't. I watch quite a bit, but I'm pretty picky about what I pick up.

Not much in to manga, but I'm trying to start reading more. I recently started and read up to the most recent chapter of Mirai Nikki, which is quite good (gets better as it progresses.)

I like my anime like I like my music good and original and typically in english at least on the anime side

I make exceptions here and there with the original part but never for the good part

"Trash?" I'm no One Piece fan (I actually can't stand most shounen manga/anime), but stuff like this is completely subjective. If he enjoys it, great. No need to be an ass about it.

Also, God forbid one partakes in more than a single form of entertainment..

However, I very much dislike the majority of anime fans. They often say some of the dumbest things on the internet, defend any and all anime just about just because it is from japan, and use 20 stupid smiley combinations within the posts. The issue with the smiley is that most times they dont even match the freaken context within the sentence preceding it. If the days when FFXI launched in NA and you saw japanese gamers jumping up and down on the dead CORPSE of a tarutaru who idolized anime like it was made by Jesus stated anything, it was they dont like them much either.

Anime fans are no different than pop star fans. I can like a good singer, regardless of genre or fashion sense, but I dont need to respect the fans. However, it is often the FANS who ruin a singer's career, and in the case of anime, a good series by outpouring of fanservice nonsense.CreasianDevaili

I'm not a huge anime fan, though there have been some animes I have liked.

Pretty much all I watch are sports and anime.

If it's something that I can get into, I'll watch it.

I'm indifferent to anime. I used to like it, but now I just don't care for it at all. Haven't watched the stuff outside of the Miyazaki films and one series in over 2 years. I personally don't like it anymore, but it doesn't bother me. I do find some of the stuff annoying though, like Haruhi for example. Can't stand that show anymore.

I have watched some anime, Gundam Wing being my favorite. I don't really watch much at all anymore.

No, I don't like the art style very much and I just find it so rediculously overexpressive. For example when characters spaz out and make extremely angry facial expressions when something small happens. I know thats what some people like about it but I just find it extremely annoying tbh.

Anime is my favourite form of entertainment.
