Have any of you been so addicted to an anime that you make great progress in a short amount of time?

I only started One Piece last week and I'm already at episode 200, have any of you got so into an anime that you can't stop watching it?

Not anime but certainly TV shows. Saw The Wire in a week or so. Others are a struggle.

I've definitely finished a couple of 24-episode anime in a day. Typically though when I do that I get burned out on anime for a week. Usually won't watch more than a couple hours a day (and these days I only watch maybe a couple episodes a week from the new season). Same thing goes with TV shows (watch more TV than anime), if I watch too much at once I get a little burned out on it.

When I was younger or during the summer I would marathon anime. The longest was One Piece and Detective Conan (and both aren't close to being over so nowadays I just read the manga).

All of the mainstream shonens. :(

Btw one piece took me almost a month to catch up even while I was binge watching it.

I tend to binge watch the shows I enjoy. But 200 is a bit insane. Like the most I've done is 12 hour long episodes. Simply put find something else to fill the time. Work out. Read a book.

I binged watched One Piece as well, love it. 240 episodes in about 2 months. I watched the entirety of How I Met Your Mother in a span of 2 weeks, not anime but I was addicted.

The only Anime addiction to date I got into was Dragon Ball/Z/GT and that's the only thing I got into the most Anime's around. I'm still watching Kill la Kill.

when i was a teen, i watched 'full metal alchemist' in a day or two, and i eventually also did a couple of GITS:SAC marathons. I was very much hooked on Major Kusanagi's character

haven't payed attention to anime since tbh, dipped my toes in the water a few times since then, but those two initial series just made subsequent animes stand out as either childish or uninspired

I've been addicted to Sword Art Online watched the first season in two days and I downloaded the crunchyroll app on my x1 and been watching the second season on there. I was addicted to naruto shippuden but i just read the manga and finished it. The only other series i've been addicted to is dragonball.

It can happen. I've finished Attack on Titan and Death Note in a little under two days. I plan on finishing the first season of SAO today (on ep. 16.) I was going to watch One Piece over in a sit-in (what I thought,) but, darn! There's over 700+ O.O Now, that's a series.

Have never watched an anime episode, and I'm not a fan of TV shows... the only thing I really watch are sports and movies when I flick on the TV.

Yep, all the time with death note, naruto , claymore, etc

But after a while I discovered that anime world is filled with crappy animes, in every season there perhaps only 2 series worth watching between 15

Hmmm... let's see... I watched the entire Ennies Lobby arc in about a week, I also watched all the HxH 2011 episodes that were out last year in some 10 days... I've also watched the whole Avatar: The Last Airbender in three days during summers (by now it's just sort of a yearly thing :P )

Except for that, I can't say I've ever really excessively watched anything.

I've been watching anime a lot since high school. But I think that it is a fun a good habit. I've probably watched DBZ 5 times through. Watching anime is fun!

Only anime I've ever binged was DBZ. They use to show 3 hour marathons of episodes on CN on Saturday and I'd watch all of it every week. Could probably still binge watch DBZ today and maybe Attack on Titan.

@davem1992: *rof-lmao* Hell no. The opposite in fact. I have roughly 188 GB worth of anime that I have yet to start watching. I try to limit myself to 1 or 2 episodes of a series once a week. I'm too busy to marathon them.

I love anime but I always fall behind. I am always too busy to catch up and I lose motivation. I just started watching Attack on Titan. I love it.

One Piece is the only anime that has that effect on me. With One Piece, I could easily go on a binge marathon, watching a hundred episodes in a week. That's the One Piece effect.

Im not into anime at all today.

Try watching Bleach. I like Bleach and all but I just couldn't bring myself to finishing that series and Dragon Ball/Z/GT are the only Anime's that I got hook into.

One piece here as well, binged over 300 episodes in a month back in 2010. I can't do that level of binge watching anymore but I got addicted to Jojo lately and watched Phantom Blood, Battle Tendency and got upto date with Stardust Crusaders in two weeks.

think the worst Binge Ive had, was the GFs Collection of Gintama, which number everything I think. So yeah everything Gintama over a week. Most I have ever seen anything on a tv ever.

Ironically I have never laughed my ass off as much.

There's barely any anime being shown on TV these days. I don't think I've spent more than 4 hours at a time. I have watched Naruto from the net.
