I recently got even more endorsed into the world of anime and then i came to anime films. There's a pretty intresting history of the stuff with many different movies about many different things. Its a pretty wonderful genre of films with its content so whats your favourite one?

I don't like anime films. But then again I've never really invested any amount of time watching them. So, that's probably why.

Yeah, it's amazing how a 'cartoon' can be so epic. Studio Ghibli makes the best anime movies.

You guys have good taste, im surprised only a couple people mentioned Ghost In the Shell, people say it was really popular and epic but its hard to understand completetly at a first watch. That goes for many anime films like Akira and the Sky Crawlers. Whats up with that?

I have not seen a lot but I've liked:

Princess Mononoke, even if the English airheadvoiceovers almost ruined.
Blood: The Last Vampire or something like that
Ninja Scroll, man that was violent and awesome
Ghost in the Shell

I've only seen a few anime movies, so my view is narrow and skewered, and my friends also say I have bad taste in movies, BUT, I'm gonna give a shout out for these two movies anyways, because they touched me. The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and 5 Centimeters Per Second

Dude I remember watching the second one, the one with the women who felt no pain..... that was just sick and disturbing and totally AWESOME!!!!! Yeah Maybe Ill try to find the fourth one online tonight. I love how they brought back reference from Shingetsutan Tsukihime that made the movie for me way more awesome!

Depends.. The way I see it any kind of cartoon that goes into serious subject matter or action/fantasy/sci-fi is 99.9% anime.. Cartoons seem to be able to capture certain universes and feels that live action can't.. My favorites.. Berserk, Akira, Highlander movie.. Fist of the North Star (series, and movie).. Occasionally Dragon Ball Z.. Though I prefer the Japanese dubs... Not because I prefer Japanese voices because I really don't.. Its just the actual subtitles most of the time seems far less kiddy then alot of the facepalm lines I have heard in DBZ looking back as a kid.. Ninja Ressurection.. I am one of those few people that thought Resurection far more interesting then Ninja Scroll.. Princess Mononoke..

Grave of the Fireflies. Heart-warming but very depressing, makes you feel thankful for what you have. a real tear-jerker.
