Erm, Cowboy Bebop is somewhat similar to Samurai Champloo. You might enjoy Hellsing Ultimate, action with a minute bit of comedy at times (don't go for Hellsing the series, Ultimate is better). Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex would be another, I guess.
That was a pretty hard one for me, but anyway, I'll make my obligatory suggestions that I think you may enjoy anyway (action mostly):
Baccano!, Durarara!! and Legend of the Galactic Heroes.
I already watch Bebop, I liked it, but the vibe is different from what I want right now. I was planning on watching Hellsing, but it' seems too dark and not very funny.Erm, Cowboy Bebop is somewhat similar to Samurai Champloo. Yeah, Hellsing has minute comedy, though a little bit does come into play at times. I'll try to think of more action-comedy animes, but it isn't so much my taste. On a somewhat related note, have you watched the two new Gurren Lagann movies? (mainly just recap the story with better animation, but the second one is fantastic for the new fight scenes)Erm, Cowboy Bebop is somewhat similar to Samurai Champloo. edit: FLCL, or Furi Kuri might be a good one to check out.

[QUOTE="jalexbrown"]You're right. I'll add Shigurui: Death Frenzy to that list, it's a little slow, but it's cool. I'll see your Shigurui: Death Frenzy and raise you Paranoia Agent.Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (When They Cry)...it's fan-fraking-tastic.

I too am trying to get back into anime again. I was only keeping up with Naruto Manga, but now I just got Hellsing 1-13 and waiting for FMA: Brotherhood 1-51

Have you seen Shigurui?

(Edited to avoid potential moderation)
The one I will recommend is Angel Beats
It started airing this year and is on its 5th episode, you can see them all on Stagevu or a ton of other sites.
"In a world after death, angels fight for their fate and their future. Yuri, the leader of the Shinda Sekai Sensen, rebels against the god who destined her to have an unreasonable life. On the other hand, Tenshi, the chairperson of the student council for the world after death, battles against the SSS members. SSS members utilize armed weaponry to battle it out against the angels harnessing supernatural powers."

Can't say I'm a big fan of anime, but Franz Kafka's A Country Doctor is bad ass.

Why must you lie, Yandere?
I don't, manga is better.
Anime requires a large budget, so tons of good content never turns into anime/people usually create uninteresting anime centered towards a wide audience.

I meant that The Trial is more awesome, but that's a good point too.
I was talking about the animated adaption of Franz Kafka's A Country Doctor, I wasn't comparing it to any of his other works.
Kōji Yamamura is better than the "overrated" Hayao Miyazaki.
