Gurren Lagann.

It's one of the best animes I've ever seen.

i saw the first episode of death note, i thought the concept was amazing, lol who doesnt have a list of people they want well, err, nvm, lol...but does the series pick up alot cuz i wasnt super impressed with it, thought it showed promise...and whats gurren lagann?? and outlaw star, is that another space cowboy deal? thanks guys for such a quick response, is there a dedicated anime board somewhere here at GS that people use regularily? also, any really cool mech animes/action figures...i love mech stuff but havt really watched much mech anime for whatever reason....i have these cool steel battalion/tekki action figures of mechs which i like alot....any cool toys u guys have that i should check out, i also got som cool eva units...PEACEAkujibaba

Looks like you enjoy a decent range of genres..I'll just add some current-season stuff to what's already been suggested since people often overlook what's currently running:

-Clannad (The best Key anime so far for the characters alone, imo.)

-Minami-ke (Awesome characters, very funny)

-Higurashi no Naku Koro ni ('-Kai' is the second season, watch the 1st season first or you won't know what the hell is going on.)

-Shakugan no Shana (first season is great..second season is kinda mediocre so far, but it's only 10 episodes in and is only getting better.)

how many of you guys would sign a petition to get a forum dedicated solely to anime? like homeboy said above, i can imagine there there are alot of these sort of threads..... theres a reason for that right? anyway, thanks alot for all the thoughtful suggestions guys, really appriciate it.
