Anime: your suggestion

hey, a week ago I created a topic asking what anime should I watch next...and I got a suggestion to watch Trigun and I did and liked it alot and so since that thread was successful in my eyes, I would like to know what else you would suggest

I like action/comedy/drama

Bleach

full metal panic (not so great)

Yeah Code Geass is pure awesomeness.

I reccomend Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. It's kind of confusing in the first season, but if you stick with it till the second the show becomes really great. It has drama, comedy and sometimes action, but it becomes VERY VERY VERY violent sometimes, so be warned :o my avatar is from the show. But if you stick with it till the second season, you'll love it. It also has one of the best anime endings of all time.

Action: Hellsing

Action/Drama: Neon Genesis Evangelion, Wolf's Rain, Elfen Lied

Drama: Air, Saikano

Comedy: Chobits, Ouran High School Host Club

I will also recommend you Serial Experiments Lain and Boogiepop Phantom, these don't really fall into any genre that I know of, but if you want something a bit deeper that's all story and no action these are both great animes.

Agreed. Except perhaps for some events during the seconde season, the series was great. Definitely a great show in my opinion. Besides, it kind of reminded me of Death Note in certain aspects.

And of course if you have never watched Dragonball Z, or dragonball GT then those are just classics man. Wascal_Rabbit

Dragonball is better than either, imo.

Vampire Knight is good as well and is currently airing still. Though i dont know if you would be into it but its worth checking out. The second season is going on right now. It is more story driven then anything with some action. Its more of a serious type of anime like deathnote was. well the original japanese voices sound much more deep and better then dubs which come off rather short and lame.

There's a reason most self-proclaimed "otaku" are so devout about sub-only anime. It's the fact that the animators originally animated for the Japanese language, so it's easy for the japanese actors to say what they need to naturally, so they can focus more on what they should be (their acting). English actors have to deal with a script of lines that have been altered to fit the amount of screen time that the character has his mouth moving. They also have to deal with broken sentences as well, since japanese and english lines will rarely allow for fluid lines both ways.

All this makes it difficult for English voice actors to focus on their performance, what with all the distractions. That's why there's usually a noticeable drop in quality performances between japanese and english dubs, and that's why a lot of people prefer original audio. It's for the better acting.

I really didn't like Code Geass.

But a lot of what you'd like are Shonen type shows. Stuff like Bleach, Inuyasha but I'm not into it so that's as far as I know. I'd recommend Clannad, Amaenaideyo, Rosario + Vampire and Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Code Geass is entertaining, but I'll be honest, it's not very good quality-wise.
