so i have like hundres of songs on my computer, and i used itunes to play it all right. Well one day i decided to clean up my computer and desktop and i moved some music files around and now itunes cant locate many songs i moved around when i try to play it. I moved most of the files back to orignial spots but still ituns cant locate many songs. How do i get it to relocate the songs without having to manually do it my self on every song which would take me hours?

More than likely they're clumped in the same spot. Try windows search, and if you're not running Windows then you shouldn't even be asking this question.

they arnt clumped in one spot, i know i can do windows search but i would have to go through about 50 songs to try and find. I think i could just reinstall itunes and have it scan my computer for all the music again which it does when you install it.

Looks like you're going to have delete them all and then re add them or individually locate each one:|

Works better if everything is in one folder then you just add that one folder.

there's a lesson to be learned here, when buying from itunes or napster or the like... back up in cd format, rip them back to ur pc in mp3 format, and you windows media player to play them... and avoid problems like that..

anyway, you probably need to re-add them to the library..... clear ur library contents (be careful not to deleate them, just remove them from the library) the go to "add folder to library", make sure all the music u wanna add is in that folder, or sub folder and add them again, if u got a lot of music, it can take a long time to add to the library, but once its finished, you should have that problem anymore
