Another Weekend. How is yours Going? - Feb. 8th Edition.

I thought I'd give @Horgen a break and kick off the Saturday thread. ...Technically it's still Friday night here but w/e.

Pretty lousy weather here. Lots of snow, but also lots of ice. Swerved a little on a town road driving home this morning but recovered ok. Tried to stay inside during the worst of the storm.

I cleaned my car off this afternoon and some people next to me were stuck, and it took me and a few snow plow workers to move them. With the lot plowed I figured I should go put air in my tires. Did that, came back, got stuck lol. Fortunately I was able to get moved and park elsewhere.

I might see some work friends at some point, but admittedly kind of wish I had more friends I could hang out with at their houses and stuff. Probably going to have to try taking a more active approach in pursuing my interests in the future and meeting people that way, like going to a gym to meet health conscious friends.

Working. I work a lot these days.

The weather here sucks. It's supposed to be winter time and it's averaging 55 degrees here in Portland.

I'm going to have lunch at a restaurant with my parents. Nothing particularly exciting planned after that. I'll do some working out, play video games and maybe watch a movie or Star Trek: Picard.

It's almost 5 AM and I am about to head off to work. I actually got to sleep in an hour, though.

I"m actually off for the weekend. Woke up to some snow here in the ATL.

Work as always. We've been getting a lot snow too, and our parking lot is a mess, because the plow crew didn't do a very good job. Sun's out now, melting a lot of stuff, but it'll snow again tonight, and probably through Tuesday.

After work, I'll be finishingup Zumbo's Just Desserts season 2 on Netflix, more Twilight Princess HD on Wii U, and finishing Delores Clayborne by Stephen King.

I spent half my day helping my ex understand math. I also worked out. Which went somewhat better than expected. Squats were a pain in the ass last weekend, but this time it went better than expected.

This evening I am firing up Dark Souls 3 again. Maybe I'll get further than Firelink Shrine this time.

Nothing, pretty boring.

Today I barely got to sleep, since one of my neighbors is a batsh*t old hag that goes off on loud, colorful, screaming tangents randomly.

Before I got like 3 hours of sleep, I played Hotline Miami 2 some more. I finally completed the main story the other day after all these years, and started my second playthrough. I liked noticing new things this time, like all of The Fans standing outside of Jacket's trial.

Got laundry done, finishing up some supper now. Seriously need to sleep, but I'll probably call my family first.

Fuking grievers. That is second day in row that someone double teamed me. Fuking dumb ass bitches kill me and I get mad, naturally and when I killed one of their horse's they are out to get blood on me. Fuking hypocrites. Should've thought out the consequences before they tried me.

Also, fuking Rockstar that doesn't do anything about it. Not going to let some lowlifes bully me and ruin my enjoyment.

Watching K-drama Hai Chi, lots of scheming and crying.

I can't believe the XFL is back after 19 years!!! and yet I still don't give a damn about it lol.

Netflix Game of Thrones season 8 Blu-rays FINALLY arrived, so I'm in the process of finishing the series. I had to wait for a bunch of other people to rent these discs over a course of almost three months. Just finished episode 3, the long battle against the dead.

I'm kind of surprised I finished season 7 all the way back in March 2018, according to my rental history. That was two months before I got my TV and then my sound system. I watched all previous seasons on a monitor with headphones, which just feels wrong now. The Atmos surround is superb for a TV show. Picture quality could be better. This episode was dark and I noticed a lot of color banding in the darker areas of the picture. Maybe in a couple of years, they'll release the whole show on UHD (seasons 1 and 8 have been) and I'll rewatch them with better compression.

I liked this episode, but the main characters had so much plot armor in this battle, it defied logic.

Watched Madonna: The Girlie Show earlier, which I appreciated but didn't enjoy as much as her other concert films, and that amusing carnival episode (Humbug) of the X-Files.

I also decided to quit at the final boss in Astral Chain. I just don't care that much about beating games anymore, for the most part. As long as I've seen or played most of what there is to see or play. Did the same thing with Sekiro last year.

started playing hzd again. forgot how good it was.

tried watching adam sandler's uncut gems on netflix. thought him in a serious role for a change could be good. was awful. just people shouting over each other relentlessly scene after scene. 20 mins in started to get a headache. SHOUTY, SHOUTY, SHOUTY. no idea really what was going on i why i was expected to care. lasted ~45 mins before we switched it off. guess his serious films are as bad as his comedies. heard he got a deal with netflix because their data showed people had watched over 2 billion hours of his films. feel ashamed i've now contributed 45 mins to that growing total

Closed out the weekend selling and donating more of my belongings. I am still sore from work, and my sleep schedule is messy.

I made some ramen and added a bunch of friends on social media. I guess I'll try my best to just enjoy the pros of the present, rather than dwell on the cons.
