I saw them tonight at the Sinclair in Cambridge and I need to geek out with someone. Trouble is, none f m friends are fans :(

Let's kick off with favorite DFHVN concert moments....mine was screaming lyrics into George's face while he screamed back at me.

I tried listening to them but Black metal really isn't my type. I hope you find someone to geek about them. Cuz I know that feeling...

I don't think BM gets any more hipster than Deafheaven, I have their music on my playlist but I've only listened to them once. It's just constant tremolo picking from what I remember, it wasn't dynamic enough to bring me back for more, maybe I'll check them out again later. As far as hipster BM goes I prefer Skagos and Circle of Ouroborus. Or Ash Borer, I caught them live when they came by Seattle.
