Did you go?  They freaking own.  I wish I knew about them a little earlier, because were both from So Cal, and they played a lot of shows there (duh).

I love Gamespot hardcoringly.  (I just made up a word.  :P)

techinically they are a little.  Metal + Hardcore = Metalcore

My current favorite (modern) hardcore bands are Modern Life is War, Converge, Ceremony, Some Girls, Folly, Genghis Tron and stuff like that.

For classic (80-86) hardcore, I dig Black Flag, Minor Threat, Bad Brains, Jerry's Kids, Dag Nasty, The Faith, Government Issue, Dead Kennedys, and just about all Touch and Go and Discord records bands.
