They believe Jesus was Michael the Archangel before He became a man, and was never God. They believe He is "a" god, but not God Himself. As such, I consider the Watchtower Society to be a separate religion from Christianity.
A Canadian friend of mine wanted to convert me from Catholic to Jehova's Witness, but their chauvinists ways scared me away. Also the fact that they don't celebrate birthdays.
I'm holding a paper on a bunch of info on the Watchtower Society (hereafter referred to as "JW").
The New World Translation of the Bible, a translation that was specifically created for JW and purposefully includes many teachings that enforce JW doctrines (teachings that cannot be found in other translations of the Bible) is the only translation allowed by the JW. However, it can only be "truly understood" by a member of the Watchtower Society.

They believe Christ's death did not earn humanity salvation, but sort of paved the way for us to get salvation. They believe only 144,000 JW members achieve Godhood, like Jesus did. Everyone else either goes to a reformed Earth (that we call "Paradise") or a quick flash of Hell, where they are destroyed and permanently cease to exist.
What questions do you have? and are you a member of any religious community currently? I only ask because some of Jehovah's witnesses contradict other religious beliefs. But yea, I don't want to offend anyone or atomically launch into a religious discussion either.
