I honestly hate Kevin Smith and most of his movies, but Chasing Amy was one of his better ones. I thought it was pretty good.

I love KS and all his stuff. Even got the two 'Evening With ..." dvd's. Chasing Amy is very good, up till the second last scene where it all gets a bit weird. But still cheap and well worth the price, give it a go ... friendo

Chasing Amy was ok. Mallrats and Clerks were my favorite of his.

Have you seen Dogma? That one is pretty good.

The chick in Chasing Amy has a voice that's marginally better than nails on a chalkboard.

It's an okay movie, though it gets pretty whiny and overly emotional at the end.

Alot of Smithee fans do not rate "Chasing Amy" high, but IMHO its the best . The characters are flushed out and more "real" the others, the dialogue is absolutely superbly written ,and the story does not force the typical happy ending down your throat ....the story plays out how it should, true to its characters .Simply a great film .

i like pretty much all the kevin smith movies. (never saw gigli, and can take or leave Jersey Girl) i've never seen Chasing Amy though. i've been meaning too, just never been able to find it, and don't want to buy it unless i know it's good.

I don't really remember it very well, but I do remember hating it a lot, if that tells you anything. I only really liked Clerks of his, anyway.

Gigli isn't a Kevin Smith movie.

it's not a jay and silent bob movie, but it is a kevin smith movie.

Edit: My bad, i thougt it was a Kevin Smith movie. i swear on the second disk of clerks 2 it mentioned they were weary to make Clerks 2 because of the way Gigli and Jersey Girl were accepted, or lack there of. i must have been mistaken. my bad.

I thought you meant the UCF running back for a second. I haven't seen anything other than Dogma, but I really like that movie. Though it's not because of him. I dunno. That's all I can say.

Actually, it's not.

All of Kevin Smith's movies (or at least most of them) take place in the View Askewniverse, Chasing Amy included.

It's pretty good. I like a lot of Kevin Smith's movies. Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.
