Can't wait for season 6 to start this January. Final season, so it'll be bittersweet. But I'm pretty excited that Charlie (among others) is coming back.

*Disclaimer...while I have tried to be vague so that only people who've watched through Season 5 will know what I'm talking about, reading this post may ruin some minor aspects if you've not seen season 5 yet. I've tried to be vague, but read at your own discrtetion if you haven't watched season 5*
Meh, a reappearance of Charlie won't matter (this isn't really a big spoiler, since he died way back in Season 3). He'll either come back as a ghost, or he'll come back due to time travelling. Both of which I think are sort of lame. Well, maybe not "lame", but at the very least sort of uninportant.
Main things that I want to know are what the **** are going on with Locke and Ben. Exactly WHO or WHAT the **** is Jacob? What the **** is the deal with Locke?
But basically Locke and Jacob. Season 5 made me say WTF? with regards to these characters. WHO the hell is Jacob? And WHO is Locke?
Anyway, to be vague about season 5, one thing sort of pissed me off. I know that the Season 5 DVD isn't out yet, so I'm going to be vague in referring to events in season 5. But I'm comfortable saying this...it involves time travel. I don't think that's too big of a spoiler. But anyway, one of my big problems was that the characters in Season 5 got more stupid as the season progressed. ESPECIALLY with regards to the principles of time travel, which ALL of them were aware of.
If I may say, the stupidity of the characters in the end of Season 5 was on par with the stupidity of Skynet in the Terminator series. "It already happened! So what the hell are you trying to do?" But hey, at least Skynet has an excuse for not really knowing what's gonna happen. You can't say the same about the Lost guys, because they have access to a brilliant theoretical physicist who knows all about space and time and is all too eager to stop the plot in order to provide exposition about what is going on. The LOST guys have NO EXCUSE for the dumbass **** that they do at the end of season 5.
And yeah, technically they do have an excuse. Technically, they sort of HAVE to do whatever they are SUPPOSED to do, even if that requires them to act out of character. That's still annoying. Because as a viewer, I just have to watch all of the characters (even the SMARTEST characters) suddenly turn into total idiots at the end of the season for no other reason than that the plot requires them to do stupid ****.
Meh. I liked the show until about Season 3 and then I just stopped watching. Once the show is done, I might see if I can make myself watch all of the shows in somewhat of a row.muthsera666
Yeah, Seasons 2 and 3 were sort of disappointing.
But the show really sort of redeemed itself with Season 4. Season four was badass.
And while Season 5 isn't as good as Season 4, it's still really good.
But really though, Season 6 is going to make or break this show. If it doesn't end in a satisfactory manner, then the whole journey has been for nothing. And if the ending is worth it, then I'm sure that the value of even the lamer seasons will have been enhanced in retrospect.
But yeah...Season 3 was the last season that I thought sucked, and I myself was thinking of giving up on the series at about that point. But Season 4 really did mark a major comeback for the show. If you're still remotely interested, give it a chance. Season 4 kicked ass.
