i'm 16 (almost 17) and i've found that in the last year or so i've read the paper and watched the news more than usual, and has anyone noticed how it seems like they always talk about depressing things? what i don't get is, why does the media feel the need to let us know every time a child dies, every time a teenager was shot to death, and every time a soldiergets blown up by an IED? i just don't understand why they need to tell us these things, to the people who write these articles, and the news anchors it's just another day at work for them. i can understand if something really abnormal, or extrordinary happened, like a school shootiong or sometihing, but i don't see why the news doesn't talk more about positive things. and they say videogames desensitize you and cause violence:roll:
another thing that really bugs me is; from the time Anna Nichole Smiths son died, to the time she died the media wouldn't leave her alone, and then after she died THEY STILL DON'T LEAVE HER ALONE! and then what i thought was really stupid is that her funeral was televised *shakes head*
because thats wat happens in the world and the idea of the news is current affairs. its not jsut this i know that a large portion of the news r these stories but this is wat keeps ratings up with shocking news.Â
