Any specific reason you are on gamespot on New Years Eve?

Well I guess I just fail at life. I have no girl to spend it with, no parties to go to, and I have no idea where my friends are. We hit the new year in a little over an hour and this is probably the worst way to spend it.

I'm 18 years old and it sucks being alone...

Can't go visit my best friend, he's sick. I suppose I can call my girl.

No girl, no good games, nothing else to do, and the NYE party in Niagara has crappy bands. And I'm not standing in the freezing cold for Styx and Glass Tiger.

For some reason, I just didn't feel like partying tonight. I just felt like having a relaxing evening/night at home I guess

Because my designated driver, Helen, has been drinking, and is in the same condition as the game she is playing....

My girlfriend is with her friends so i cant talk to her right now :( and just spent some time with family now to relax

And I gotta say, I really don't see any point to NYE. It's just a normal day that society has blown out of proportion. The fact that people are so desperate to find something to celebrate that they need to glorify a random day is asinine. We divided time the way we did, but technically a new year starts every second, one year ahead of last year at this second. Who is to say a new year doesn't start in March? Or August? It's not as if the force which created the universe (metaphorically, don't get in a religious argument) decided "we'll say that a new year begins at exactly this time". It's all just a fabrication.

It actually has very little to do with the fact that I have nobody to celebrate it with. Honest.

Too young to drink legally ;) Besides, you can still party/celebrate without alcohol. Being the only sober one at a party of drunken buffoons could be pretty funny too

This has gotta be my worst New Year's day ever. It's so quiet and boring. :(

I am here now but wasn't here last night (last night was new years eve here).
