So I'm looking for a job over the summer and throughout my senior year next year. I've already applied to Best Buy (no response), and Target (got rejected :(). Excluding fast food and grocery stores, any suggestions?

Keep trying thats all you can do, but I found my first part time job when I just gave up and stopped looking:?
Try a grocery store. I applied for my job about 5 years ago. It took then 6 months to get back to me and put me as a casual checkout chick, which lasted two weeks. After a month of no shifts they rang me up at the last minute to do new years eve at another store in the deli. Got there, they liked me so much I got put on permantly. I've been there for about 4 and a half years and in 4 months will be on $18.50 an hour :Ddaqua_99Oh wow, that's really good. I've been asking aroud, and there's a grocery store (H-E-B, it's only in Texas), and they start at $8.00.. I'm thinking about applying there today. Can anyone recommend Gamestop?
Hmm, like where?Work for the city, or better, for the government. It's a nice addition for your resume.

Actually it's 7.25 :P And where do you live? That's really good. That's true, might gain a few pounds by the end of summer :P I'm thinking about applying to Kroger's and a few other places. I figured out H-E-B isn't hiring. Also, how hard would it be to get a job assisting a mechanic or something like that? I wouldn't mind being around cars...what's wrong with grocery stores? when break time rolls around invade the candy aisle then go to the break room and pig out :D

I would recommend grocery stores actually. Working the tills is good for students because most stores have a lot of cashiers and the hours are more flexible.
[QUOTE="megagene"]Take anything you can get. Seriously.dk00111Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Having no work experience doesn't help either lol =\ You've never had a job and your going to be a senior? Damn I had three by that time :P Grocery stores are easy I don't see why you wouldn't want a job like that
