I used to have this problem. My life has been so bad lately that I enjoy sleeping. I know some will say "Your up late though". I know but I used to not be able to sleep but I can now go to bed when I need too.

I found out that what helps me is if I actually stay up all night and by night time hits ill be so freaking tired ill want to go to bed. You could also reduce the amount of computer usage, gaming, tv watching before bed. If you can't get to sleep without watching tv, like me, just watch something like the Discovery Channel where the narrator talks like he wants you to fall asleep. If all else fails just get some sleeping pills lol. but i don't suggest that because it reduces your REMs I think thats what there called and that isnt good.

My school starts in 3 hours and I haven't slept. My PS3 is what keeps me up. Why did GoW3 have to be so good!

You have to bite the bullet and only sleep for a few hours. You'll be in a fog all day, but you'll be so tired sleep will come whether you want it or not. You'll wake up earlier the next day.

Rinse, repeat, profit 8)

Yeah, this more or less. You've screwed up your sleep schedule pretty badly by staying up that late.

I'd also recommend not drinking any pop/caffiene before going to bed.

Turn it off and go lay in your bed and do something that isn't all that engaging. Watch TV if you have one in your room (in the dark though) or read a book. I don't go to public education so I don't have a time that I need to be up by, and this creates the problem of me staying up all night and sleeping all day, it takes at least a week to get back "on track". I always have to watch TV for at least half an hour to unwind myself enough to fall asleep, and I put the sleep timer on 30 minutes more after I'm done actually watching because background noise helps me sleep.

I used to have terrible insomniac where i'd stay up all night and day in attempts to make myself tired and it wouldnt work, i'd stay up for 2-3 days and then go to sleep at 4am the final night...I couldnt get my schedule right, I just whent with it till it fixed itself.

It's easy. Get up early and stay awake until bedtime. Then do it again. After 3 or 4 times, you can set your clock to pretty much anything.

that won't make a difference if he still stays awake until 3AM and gets up at noon. If he stays awake until 3AM and gets up at 7AM, his body will take note

Wake real early one day and then do not go to sleep until it's time to sleep. Keep doing this a few times. Should get everything back to normal.

No. I've been trying for years, and still can't get to bed at a decent hour. It's like I must stay up past 12, knowing I have to get up at 6.

Don't think too much about it, when it's 10:30, just stand and go to bed.

I had the same problem. You must pull off an all nighter and without having a nap during the day you will go to sleep around eight o clock rolls around.

LOL. I'm in the same boat. I have to get up for work at 8, but GOW3 has me up until 3AM every night. I just finished my second play through, so I think that I can finally rest.

Just keep going to bed early. Of course you won't fall asleep straight away if you went to sleep at 5 am the day before.

Have you tried... oh wait. That wouldn't be appropriate. :P

But really, I used to do this, and at one point, I had to stay up all night and not go to sleep until like 11 pm the next day.

Stay up all night one day. On the following day you go to class only to realize that this may be a little too early. :?

Realize that staying up late is pointless, and waking up earlier with time to eat breakfast and relax is a much better trade off

Hell I was on the road all day Tuesday J and went to bed at 8, woke up at 10:30 and couldn't go back to sleep at all til 1. Now I love a nap, but at night 6-7 hours is my max. Sucks.
