Any zombie movie experts here?

I'm looking for a zombie movie that was either from the 70's or 80's. I only saw the ending of it.

A group of people are stuck in a cave or basement. The mother of that group was happy to find his lost son, but his son was already a zombie. He killed her and the rest of the zombies invaded the room and killed them all.

Sounds alot like Night of the living dead. Except it's a cellar and the mother finds her daughter not a son.and it's the late sixties.

I agree, sounds like Night of the Living Dead. It's public domain, so you should be able to find it pretty easily.

I think its the original not the remake, i think The remake was hilarious tho Barbara goes from being a wuss to some rambo chick. :)

Lol i never got that, isnt it out of character for a zombie to kill someone with a weapon? dont they like to eat the victim alive?

It should..honestly it should since people look like idiots when they do it. It's like kids seeing someone doing something cool then they copy it only this time they sound stupid doing so.

As for the film in question it is Night of the Living Dead. Plus, it's not the son the mother find again. It's Barbara being reunited with her brother Johnny who comes to a bad end in the early going of the film. The remake was actually pretty good and stuck close enough to the original but tried to add something new. The new being making the most useless character in the original being the only level-headed one in the remake.
