Well, not that I hate them, just tired of them. They were fresh when they started popping out, but their music is so repetative I can't tell which song from which.
Whoever the person was that threw that bottle/rock that hit their main singer during a foreign concert is an American hero. Even though they probably do not live in America.

I think you give it too little credit. It had a message during its prime, just like most of the music you probably listen to. Though I agree its degraded into corporate/thug mediocrity. I was never a huge fan of rap...but just because you didnt like it doesnt mean it HURT music. POP music hurts music since it crosses over into everyday programming and life nowadays.

Hey to each his own. I hate country but i still consider it music :) haha i never thought of it.
Although I agree that lately most of their songs sound exactly the same, I do not hate Nickelback. I like some of their songs, and to be honest I don't understand the hate towards them.

Rap is great. If you say rap isn't music you've probably had no experience with it.

I never said mainstream success makes a band crap. There are two different successes in mainstream music....those that are geared to make money for the record companies (and themselves in the process)....and the bands that happen to get noticed while playing the music they believe in.

ahhhh, i chose that bit cause well the rest was his opinion, but from my experience alot of people instantly hate something that is mainstream so I was just asking :P
