I guess im a strong believer. I mean, why would there be so much talk about people doing those things if they weren't real?
(some of you may say "Because people WANT to be able to believe that") But i mean people want to desperately fly, but i dont hear stories of people claiming they can fly.

I don't believe a person could perform telekinesis just on his own. However, I do think that it is scientifically possible to invent a device that would allow for telekinesis.

They're scam artists that get your information through other means that you don't realise.

I have no belief in anything "telekinesis" or "psychic" or anything like that. Mediums, etc. are all fake IMO, because there's nothing at all to be a medium of.

I used to believe in nothing, but about a month ago (long story short) my friend ****** a girl, and when they were finished she started messing around, saying she was a nice witch and what not and she told him something would happen (story had lots of details in it... I was involved...)

We laughed about it a lot. A LOT. But this past friday, it all happenned, detail for detail... It's like she just knew, or she made things happened... In fact, I have no clue what happened, why or how, but I know it scared the sh*t out of me because I ended up saying and doing things I did NOT want to do, and I didn't even remember about it until my friend reminded me the next day... it'S like I was on auto-pilot for her story to happen as she said.

So yeah, now I'm pretty much open minded to all those esoteric stuff

If anyone could prove the existence of those things scientifically they would be 1 million dollars richer. Ever since the offer has been offered, no single person has been able to prove it. They don't prove it because they cannot prove it.

Oh yes, illusionists are great at their work if they can convince you that what they are doing is real... that is why they get paid what they do.

I don't believe in telekenesis, but if I had it I would be doing far more interesting things than collecting money from James Randi.

grab a nail, and a short slim rope, tie the nail to the rope, and order to the nail to start moving.. it will move

that's as far telekinesis will go..

Believe in it?

Well it's either true or it's false. There is no in between.

Show me some evidence to back it. Otherwise it's false.

Well, Project Stargate (I think that's what the other poster was referring to) actually did produce some favorable results (they did manage to predict a few developments in Soviet Submarine technology, among other things), control over programs like it just fell into the hands of people who didn't believe in psychics, so they were shut down. Plus, after the development of satellite tracking and modern surveillance techniques, we just sort of figured out more efficient ways of doing more or less the same things...

If this were true, it would be very easy to prove.

Evidence of telekenesis hoaxes shows us how they are performed by people.

If you see it, you may believe it. Seeing things does not necessarily explain how they are performed.

that's the ultimate goal in scientology. They are supposed to be able to move glasses across the table once they get to the end level or whatever it's called. They have computers that can pick up people's brain waves, so wouldn't that be the same thing? They are inputting data with their mind toa comp and the comp processes it.

How would you know if it exists or not? It's quite possible that we don't have the technology to detect telekenesis. One could say "The government has spent millions on alien research, so they obviously do not exist" It isn't possible for the government to come out with a definite answer to wheather or not something to such amazing heights exists or not due to their lack of technology - and assuming they even had the right kind of testing for something that extreme...humans only use an estimated 10% of their brains, 90% of which we haven't even tapped into yet. With all the amazing things we can do with simply 10% of our brains, imagine 90%? It is quite possible that we are not disciplined enough or have not trained our brains well enough to find such abilities, especially with all the high traffic entering our brains these days with the tele, video games, and even subliminal messages in commercials.

Answering something such as telekenesis with an absolute FTL...

Telekinesis could be achievable with the aid of synthetics, I dont think it would pursuited though, I think it would make a controversy in ethics... I've heard some say that telekinesis has something to do with the human bioelectric field or something like that, but so far none could prove that the human bioelectric field can/has the power to move object or alter things ..

It's a gray are I presume.

No, at least I don't think it's possible solely using our current amount of brain power. Technology, genetic engineering and what ever else may however make it possible. I will admit however, when I was younger I used to try for ages to bend a spoon, even looked up guides on the internet lol.

 I did the same. My father use to convince us kids that we had jedi mind powers when we were little. He said if we concentrated long enough on an object, it would move. We would sit for literally hours at a time quietly staring at a vase  Every once in awhile he'd come by and say "I think it moved a little!" Which only fueled our desire even more and made us sit even longer lol....It was hours of free entertainment for him, and a good way to have silence.

Perhaps with an evolutionary mutation it may be possible in the future, but as of now I do not believe there are any telekenetics among us.

Oh and this is why I think it may be possible with a mutation. The hutchison effect mimics poltergeits activity astoundingly well and I do believe it is done using electromagnetic waves. Theoretically, if a person was born with a mutation that allowed them to create and control electromagnetic waves/fields then they would be capable of a form of telekenisis.

Other psychic phenomena I DO think happens as I have experienced it myself (had dreams that turned out to be stupid little things that happened in the future), but on that same note I would be hard pressed to believe anyone could control it.

Nope. I don't beleive in telekinesis.

Doesn't mean I don't try it every night when I first sit down on the couch and don't want to reach for the remote. Tried it thousands of time and nada. I'll keep plugging away though......
