Hey I loved peanut butter but I realized I have the salmonella infested jar the hard way. I had about 4 sandwhiches in 1 week last week. Problem is my stomich is still kinda bubbly. I needed to know if this is still the effects or if its just what I'm eating. I have not been eating much (obviously since my stomich isnt well) just mainly oatmeal orange juce some quaker bars and stuff.. Should I go see a doctor or what? I read that during some outbreaks people have actually died. My stomich feels like cramps or gas and has not gone away since.

Get JIF peanut better. I don't think it's contaminated. Oh yeah, go see a doctor.

I had a jar too, but I found out about it and threw it away before I ever ate any of it. Anyway, go to the doctor. I saw on the news that someone died from it this week so I wouldn't take this lightly.

We had to take about 1,000 jars of that crap off the shelves at work... I think it was Peter Pan brand and Great Value brand. Only had a .04% profit loss because of it ^_^

I had a jar of peanut butter that had the same serial number as the ones that were supposed to be infected with it. I wasn't feeling curious enough to eat it to find out though.

Schools don't buy name-brand foods. They get their food by generic retailers in bulk. Their peanutbutter comes in huge 10lb buckets.

I'm not afraid of catching any foodborne illnesses anymore. I've eaten scrambled eggs that've sat on the stove top all day room temperature... nothing happened. Same with hamburgers, fries, flat soda, off the floor, from other people... I think I'm immune to stuff like that. At least so far I have been.

yea man my family always buys Peter Pan peanut butter... and we had the jar that had the "211" product code on the top... I had already eaten several PB&J sandwiches using that peanut butter before I knew about this whole salmonella thing and threw it out... but I was perfectly fine.  they said only a small fraction of the jars with 211 on it had salmonella so I guess I was lucky enough to not have one of the salmonella ones...

dont tell that to me, i wasnt the one that bought it (i never get peter pan) and i think we threw it away before even knowing what the batch # was in the infested jars.  so i guess i'll never know if we had one or not.  and anyway its only what $3-5 who cares.

and btw my stomach has been feeling fine today, and i also have had no feeling this past week like i have to use the restroom (unless i actually do), and im not sick so i think im good

I had 2 jars of that peanut butter. Already finished 1 jar. I got the empty container and got my money back for it anyways. No, I didn't get salmonella.
