Not really, but it's certainly been unseasonably cool here in Virginia in comparison to the past three or four years.
Funny that you ask. 531 forrest fires in my area the last time I checked. Hail, mad lightning storms (20,000 lightning bolts in the space of a couple hours), very windy, lots of rain.
Right now it's just really smoky though.

You know that the scientists who study global warming have predicted that it would lead to cooling in many areas, right?
Nope, it's always like this in Florida.
Really sunny for most most of the day but around five in the afternoon it starts storming bad.

You really can't keep your mouth shut can you? You're on a mission tonight. Global warming is being used as a political tool, and the people who believe so strongly in its presence have become a fascist sect of society...ridiculing any skepticism, silencing opposition, burying counter-evidence, and employing massive amounts of scare tactics so that companies like General Electric, who fund their campaigns and their comfortable living, can have a monopoly on our lives. Personally, i don't care whether global warming is a reality or not, because I'm an environmentally-conscious person anyway. Everyone should take care of the Earth. However, I'm not going to have my cost of living skyrocket, and have to drastically increase expenses for myself and my family because of somebody's political and fiscal agenda. Cap and trade doesn't solve any problems.
Yeah, what was I thinking. God forbid I discuss something on a discussion forum.
You cracked a joke about how it's called global warming and yet some regions of the world are cooler than usual. I informed you that cooling is predicted by the scientists studying the process.
All of a sudden you try to turn it into a politcal discussion. Apparently there's some sort of hidden message in my last comment. Apparently I told you to start buying energy star rated appliances (good idea btw).
It has been really cold for summer here in Michigan. June/july/August all usually have many 90+ degree days and occasionally a 100+ degree day..this year we have only had one 90 degree day and that was in March or April. There really isn't a point in swimming if you aren't getting cooled off :(
I remember it being like that just a few years ago. A lot less rain this year too, although there was a big storm last week. The northwest however has been experiencing a massive heat wave. There have also been hardly any tropical storms/depressions/hurricanes this year. Its a little on the cool side here in PA but I remember it being like this about 7 or 8 years ago.

Not really. Only mildly weird thing was that it got REALLY hot too early.
Like, normally, weather is pretty comfortable up until about early July. Then it gets pretty hot (about 95 degrees) for a few months, then back to the not-too-unpleasant weather.
But this year, it got REALLY hot EARLY. Like, by mid April, we were getting temperatures up to about 105. I was worried, because I thought that the rest of the summer would SUCK. But then right around June, temperatures went back down to normal summer temperatures. And the rest of the summer has so far been pretty average.
