Just got done hearing it, and I have to say I was impressed. It's hard to live up the hype after 22 years of releasing such a ground-breaking album but MBV did it. I especially appreciate how tracks 6-9 got pretty experimental and were almost like a blend of Drum and Bass and Shoegaze. Sort of did like a David Bowie- Low thing with the contrast of the early and latter part of the album.

i just downloaded it and am currently on track 4 (is this and yes). gonna try and wait a few days before i come to any conclusions though since it took me awhile before i really got into loveless.

Listened through it twice now. I really wasn't expecting it to be this good since it's been so long since Loveless. My favorite track from it so far is "New You". I know it's still early, but I don't really think many albums will be able to top this for my personal AOTY. Maybe the upcoming album from The Knife?

Agreed, I think I'd like it without the text though. Or they could've put a small, not-distracting "My Bloody Valentine" in the corner like they did for Loveless.

One of the top most anticipated rock records of the new decade finally comes out.  i've listened to it twice, both with different notes.  Stay tuned for my review later on ( I listen to albums at least 3 times at different times to draw a conclusion)

What? I love the album art. Especially with the hidden images, the squares, the heavy blue tint ( just like loveless had a pink tint), and all the squares and distortion. edit: I said squares twice.

I am illegally downloading it now; will try to listen to it tomorrow if I have the time. Loveless is f*cking brilliant and I'm skeptical this will live up to the hype... I just hope it doesn't suck entirely.

I thought the name of the album was lazy as fvck. Just "m b v". It's like when a franchise has been dormant for a while and they want to make a new installment but they don't want to scare off people who could be new to the series and may not bother with it thinking "I've missed too much so I won't understand it", so they just name it after the first one. Like Twisted Metal, Prince of Persia, Rambo, DMC: Devil May Cry.
