Seriously, whenever I go look for something at Best Buy like a game, movie or whatever and what im looking for is not on display I just ask ANYONE that works there to check if they have it and they first look in the computer and even if their PC says its out of stock they still go look for it at the storage room and if its not there they even check to see which stores have it, NOT ONLY THAT but they also call the store just to make sure and you dont even have to tell them !!! unlike Walmart, Target, EBGAMES, which is more like

person-"do you have this item in stock"

employee-"if its not there we dont have it sorry"

Just a thought :P

I work there, its alright. Geek squad is best buys B**** so it kind of sucks since thats where I work. The store does a lot of dumb things. Like, teaching geek squad people how to use and program the iphones as opposed to BB mobile. overall, they try to put a lot of emphasis on the customer and thats why I don't mind working there no high pressure sales.

It's good up until the extend of: "Can I help you?" "No thanks." "Well, I see your looking at MP3 players" "Yeah..." "I suggest this one" *Points to most expensive one* "It's the best for all of your needs!" "I'm Sure." :|

Well where I work, if it's not on the shelf then we really don't have it(but I always go in the back and look). Our store is small compared to other stores and the amount of business we get. And our warehouse isn't very big. And like a lot of stuff is vendor merchandise.

As far as big box retailers go their employees are deffinitly above average. and they have the best PC game selection than any other store where I live.

I like the type of store, but their emplyees are usually noobs and their computer hardware is overpriced. When i was in toronto however, I went to a store called Futureshop (its probably well-known but ive never seen one) and i loved what they had. Their prices were reasonable too.

Not a fan...they harass the hell out of you. When you come in they always great you and try to ask you 20 questions before you even make it past the security scanners. Next you have annyoing kids on the floor who know nothing and then decide that you are the one needing help and just bother you and either like to you about something or they have to check with the whole rest of the staff at the store and make sure that they "really couldn't tell you"... Yes, I love BB. :|

I love the Best Buy return policy. They even took a monitor from me after 30 days, no questions asked.

Never been there but that happens in some games shops round here if there's nobody in there but it dosn't usually, except from this one guy in game who is the only one who really knows what he's talking about and he knows where pretty much every game is so you can just ask him and he can find it in a matter of seconds for you. Personally i'm more of an online fan as highstreet shops tend to rip you off espescially on new games, i use amazon a bit but play.com is great when they have speciall offers on or on big items as delivory is free.

I don't think BB is that great at all.

PC hardware - Newegg all the way

BB is overpriced and they don't have a very good selection.

Movies - Amazon or J&R

I got T2, Total Recall, and Stargate on Blu-ray for $7.99 each at J&R.

i don't like assistants like that, though it does give me a chance to ask them really hard questions just to see if they'll get it right or not "So is the resolution of this monitor in diodes or triads?"

Hmm I've never been harassed at gamestop. I always just walk in, they say hi, I say hi, and they leave me alone. That's how I like it.
At Best Buy, I can either never find someone when I need them or they're on my toes when I don't need them. Argh.

Leaps and bounds above any other electronics store I have been to. One time my bro and I walked into Gamestop and the manager was like, "Are you tired?" (directed at my brother)

My brother was like, "Yeah, sure"

and then the manager started waving his hands and saying nonsensical words at my brother.

Needless to say, the only time I ever go there is if there is a new release.
