There's no way they would cancel it. They make tons of money from it still, and it's on all the time. I mean, it's not like they ran outta material. They haven't had any good episodes for like 7 years, and that hasn't stopped them from continuing.
yeah... never got the whole big deal about this show.. just another terrible american cartoon with terrible steroetyping.
For the past two years or so, they've insisted on showing all new episodes in bunches. It's always "five new episodes Friday" or "new episodes every weekday at five," etc.
I wouldn't be surprised if they did. Cartoons don't seem to be the priority of Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network anymore. It's been a good run, and I think only Rugrats, which was on for 15 years, lasted longer.
What is stereotyped in Spongebob Squarepants?yeah... never got the whole big deal about this show.. just another terrible american cartoon with terrible steroetyping.

Fish are stupid, sponges are fast food chefs, crabs are greedy or buff, starfish are stupid, octopuses are always cranky, and whales are drama queens. They do now becuase of spongebob. After seeing the terrible-ness of the past three seasons (episodes from 2004 and up), they can go ahead and cancel Spongebob for all I care, though I doubt they would, which in that case, I don't care either, i just won't watch the crap.
Steroetypes?...you obviously never watched the show...yeah... never got the whole big deal about this show.. just another terrible american cartoon with terrible steroetyping.

That part just happened. :PThat story is just one of the reasons why Patrick is awesome. :P
I remember years back Nickelodeon lied to us when they made a big deal about this one Spongebob that they will FINALLY reveal the secret Krabby Patty ingredient... At first I believed it was really ground plankton, but then Mr. Krabs was like "It was just a ploy. The real Krabby Patty recipe is under my mattress at home!" -- or something like that. Then it ended. I was pissed.

I guess cartoons just like to poke fun at their audiences like that... Like some cartoons love to make a big deal over something without actually ever showing it.
Like remember in Cow and Chicken they never showed the upper half of their parents?... They only showed them the waist down. I think one of the last episodes before the show ended they showed their entire bodies... Well, not really. It was revealed that they had no upper-body. :P

EDIT: My post doesn't reflect my views on the show.
One could argue homosexuals.....
HOW DARE YOU. every episode is a sweet nugget of love, joy, happiness, comedy, peace, tranquility, and magic. I'd have to say it's gotten better. But maybe it's just that they've changed the humor up on you since then. You have to be deep and intuitive to truly understand the intricate labyrinths that make up spongebobs enhanced humor. There's no way they would cancel it. They make tons of money from it still, and it's on all the time. I mean, it's not like they ran outta material.
